Madhya Pradesh- The Madhya Pradesh Director of Medical Education (MPDME) is going to end the 2nd round of the MP State National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) Counselling for the MDS Course for the academic year 2025. The body has released an advisory regarding the MP State Level Joint Counselling Guide for the candidates who are participating in the counselling.

The MP State NEET MDS 2025 round 2 Counselling commenced from 14th July 2025. MPDME is going to end the fresh Choice filling & choice locking process for the Second Round today, i.e. 21st July 2025. Therefore, as per the advisory, all the eligible candidates will have to compulsorily register fresh choice filling and choice locking within the time limit specified on the portal.

Meanwhile, to participate in the second phase counselling for state quota seats of postgraduate courses, the eligible unreserved category candidates will have to deposit Rs 25,000 for government colleges and Rs 12,500 by reserved category candidates as an advance fee at the time of second phase choice filling online.

Similarly, for choice filling of private colleges, an advance fee of Rs 2 lakh will be payable. For NRI quota candidates, this fee will be Rs 10 lakh. However, it is to be noted that the advance fee for the second phase of candidates admitted in private/government colleges in the first phase will be adjusted in the academic fee deposited by them in the first phase. In addition, candidates who are not allotted in the first stage are required to pay the advance fee as mentioned above for choice filling in the second stage.

The advisory further instructed that in the second phase of counselling, local residents (Domicile) of Madhya Pradesh and candidates who are residents outside the state (Non-Domicile) will be able to do choice filling and choice locking for allotment. In the second phase, the local resident (domicile) candidate of the state will be allotted first. Only if the local resident candidate is not available in the merit list, the candidate from outside the state (non-domicile) will be allotted as per the merit.

Candidates are also advised to keep a list of their choices in advance before entering their options so that they do not face any confusion while filling in their choices on the portal. Candidates should not fill out the choice of those colleges whose prescribed fees they are unable to pay. However, in case of not taking admission after allotment, the advance amount deposited by the candidate for the second stage will be confiscated and they will not be eligible for counselling in the next stages.

In the second phase, newly allotted candidates and candidates whose college or subject or category has been upgraded are required to take admission in the newly allotted institute within the prescribed time limit (in the second phase). In case of not taking admission, the advance amount deposited will be forfeited. Even in the event of upgradation (subject or category) in the same institute in which admission has been done in the first phase, the candidate will have to complete the online admission process again.

Candidates admitted in Phase II and candidates admitted in Phase I who have not been upgraded in Phase II can opt for upgradation for the mop-up phase. Such candidates who had given the option for upgradation but were not upgraded in the second phase will remain in the previously admitted institute; they will not have to take any action. Such candidates will be able to register for the option for upgradation for the mop-up phase.

Candidates who had opted for upgradation in the second phase but did not fill their choice in the second phase, such candidates will remain admitted on the seat allotted to them in the first phase, but such candidates will not be eligible for upgradation in the mop-up phase.

Moreover, on 24th July 2025, MPDME will declare the second round allotment result. Therefore, according to the advisory, after the allotment result is declared, the candidate will be able to download the allotment letter from his/her login ID and take its printout.

Following this, the Reporting at the allotted college in person for document verification and the admission process will start from 25 July 2025. On this, the advisory noted that the newly allotted candidate will have to personally appear at the allotted institute within the declared time limit for admission and get his/her original documents verified by the admission committee of the allotted institute. The candidate declared eligible will have to submit all his/her original documents to the admission committee.

Candidates who have been admitted in the first round of counselling will have to submit the list of original documents submitted along with the first round admission slip, document verification receipt and second round allotment letter for admission in the upgraded college after upgradation and will have to deposit the admission fee of the newly allotted college (adjusted in the tuition fee deposited in the first round) online. In case the admission fee deposited by the candidate on the portal is in excess, it will be refunded to the candidate after the counselling is over.

Meanwhile, after payment of the fee, an online admission slip will be issued to the candidate by the college. In case of a refund, the refund will be made after completion of the counselling process in the registered bank account filled by the candidate at the time of registration.
