Puducherry- Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has released all admission details for candidates who have qualified National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024 exam for admission to PG Dental Courses under the Government/All India (Management Quota Seats)/NRI and are seeking admissions to dental colleges in the UT.

On this, CENTAC has released an information brochure detailing the choice filling, vacant seat positions, merit list, counselling process and reservation details.

CHOICE FILLING / SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES

While submitting the online application, the candidate will be allowed to enter the course preference (choice filling) after paying the application fee. Candidates are advised to give as many options as they are eligible for. If options are not given, it will be assumed that they have no interest in those particular courses/colleges.

Candidates need to submit their course preferences at each stage and the last date for submission will be published on the CENTAC official website. Candidates will not be able to change their course preferences after the last date.

Once course preferences are given, they will be considered final. However, CENTAC reserves the right to allow all candidates to change their preferences, if required. Candidates will be informed promptly about the decision taken.

Without course preference, the candidate will not be considered for allotment. Allotment of seats will be done based on the order of course preference submitted by the candidate and will be subject to the availability of seats as per merit and reservation. Candidates are advised to refer to the seat matrix for details about various courses, number of seats, reservations etc.

Candidates wishing to participate in the next round of counselling will have to enter fresh course preferences for each round.

MERIT LIST

The merit list of candidates applying by CENTAC will be prepared on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) for NEET MDS 2024 - Counselling. Cut-off marks for various categories as prescribed by MCC/MoHFW will be considered for eligibility.

After verification of the candidate's certificates, the draft merit list will be published. Sufficient time will be given to raise objections and submit documents, if any, and after that, the final merit list will be published.

Claims made in respect of residence/community/special category are subject to verification of documents submitted and cannot be changed after the final merit list is published. However, CENTAC reserves the right to update the merit list in case of genuine claims supported by documentary evidence.

A separate merit list will be prepared for Government quota seats and Management quota seats. Candidates should refer to the CENTAC official website for merit lists of all courses.

If the online application for a course is reopened, the merit list will be updated with all the newly received applications. This may also lead to changes in the existing merit list.
