NTRUHS invites applications for competent authority quota NEET MDS seats 2026, check complete admission details

Andhra Pradesh: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission to Post Graduate Dental Degree/Diploma MDS courses in Government and un-aided Private Non-Minority Dental Colleges under Competent Authority Quota seats for the academic year 2026-27 in the colleges affiliated to Dr NTR University of Health Sciences.

Candidates from other States are not eligible for the Competent Authority Quota seats if they do not satisfy the Local status/Non-Local status criteria.

According to the notification released by Dr NTRUHS in this regard, the online application window without a late fee will remain open from 9:00 AM today, i.e. August 18, 2026, to 9:00 PM on August 22, 2026.

However, candidates who miss this deadline will be able to apply with a late fee from 9:00 AM on August 23, 2026, to 9:00 PM on August 24, 2026. Meanwhile, the internship completion cut-off date is May 31, 2026.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM AND PAYMENT OF FEE ONLINE

1 The fee can be paid through Debit card/Credit card or Net Banking.

2 The fee paid by the applicants is not refundable under any circumstances.

3 The Registration number, which will be sent to the registered mobile after entering the basic details, should be noted for further use. The Registration number should be kept confidential and should not be disclosed to others.

4 The candidates should fill in all the correct details in the online application form and shall upload all the documents, including the mandatory certificates.

CERTIFICATES REQUIRED BEFORE FILLING THE APPLICATION FORM ONLINE

1 NEET MDS - 2026 – SCORE CARD without Pass word Protected(Mandatory).

2 Date of Birth Certificate (SSC Marks Memo) (Mandatory).

3 Provisional or Original BDS Degree Certificate (Mandatory).

4 BDS study certificate. (Mandatory).

5 Compulsory Rotatory Internship certificate (Mandatory).

6 Copies of Temporary / Permanent Dental Council Registration from the respective State Dental Council. Foreign Graduates have to upload Permanent Dental Council Registration (Mandatory).

7 If the candidate was admitted before 2026-27 and passed BDS from Govt. Dental College, Vijayawada, Govt. Dental College, Hyderabad (or) Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad, he/she has to submit study certificates from 6th to Intermediate / 10+2.

8 Latest Permanent caste certificate (Online), if applicable (issued by Competent Authority of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh only).

9 Photo Identity card having the current residential address of the candidate (Aadhaar Card) (Mandatory).

10 Differently abled Certificate issued by the Competent Authority as specified in the Regulations in case of PwBD (for Persons with disability).

11 BDS transfer certificate/Migration Certificate.

12 PIO/OCI Certificate (if applicable).

13 Other PG Degree Certificate (if applicable).

14 Candidate’s latest passport-size photo (Mandatory).

15 Specimen Signature of the Candidate (Mandatory).

ELIGIBILITY

The candidates who fulfil the following criteria are eligible-

1 The applicant for admission to the PG Dental Degree/Diploma courses must have a B.D.S. Degree (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognised Dental college/University.

2 The candidates should secure the following cutoff scores in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS)exam for the academic year 2026 for Post Graduate Dental Degree/Diploma courses-

3 Candidates must also fulfil all other eligibility requirements prescribed in the prospectus.

4 The candidate shall produce a certificate of registration with the Dental Council of India / any State Dental Council.

UNIVERSITY FEE

All the selected candidates shall pay the Non–Refundable University Fee of Rs 25,600/-

TUITION FEE

Tuition fee structure for the current academic year 2026-27 will be as decided by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, subject to the outcome of WP.

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the application and processing fee, including the late fee, once paid, will not be refunded or adjusted to a future date under any circumstances. Hence, candidates are advised to go through prospectis/regulations before applying for competent authority quota seats.

The notification also informed that the reservations provided to the three groups of Scheduled Castes shall be within 15% of the reservation prescribed to Scheduled Castes as follows-

NUMBER OF SEATS UNDER COMPETENT AUTHORITY QUOTA

1 Government Dental Colleges: 50% of the total available seats are in State quota under Competent Authority. 50% of seats are surrendered to AIQ, which are filled by MCC, New Delhi.

2 Private Un-Aided Non- Minority Dental Colleges: 50% of the total available seats are in Competent Authority Quota. The remaining 50% are under Management Quota(MQ).

3 Provided that the candidates who got registered as Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Cardholders on or after 04.03.2021 are eligible for admission only against any Non-Resident Indian seat or any supernumerary seat; and shall not be eligible for admission against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian Citizens.

4 The details of the seats available under Competent Authority quota for the year 2026-27 will be displayed on the University website before the start of web counselling.

5 All the State Counselling agencies shall make necessary arrangements for conducting the counselling in Online mode, for all the rounds, including the Stray vacancy round in Private Dental Colleges, from the academic year 2023-24. No College/Institute should conduct the counselling, including the Stray vacancy round, in physical mode.

6 The Govt. of A.P has dispensed with the In-Service quota in PG Dental Courses from the academic year 2024-25.

MERIT LISTS

1 The merit position of the candidates who applied shall be determined based on NEET-MDS-2026 Ranks and as per their eligibility.

2 After completion of the verification of data and certificates uploaded by the candidates, the University will release the final merit position of the candidates eligible for exercising Web options.

3 Candidates who are included in the final merit list will only be eligible for exercising Web Option.
