Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu (TN) Health has released a tentative Round 3 for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) counselling schedule in Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges, Government and Management Quota seats in Self-Financed Dental Colleges for the 2024-25 session.

As per the tentative schedule, the process of Round 3 NEET MDS counselling started today i.e., 22nd July 2024 at 10:00 AM and will continue till 30th August 2024 at 03:00 PM. Below is the detailed tentative schedule-

Candidates who are willing to participate in the online choice filling for MDS Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.

At the same time, the fresh candidates also have to pay a refundable Security Deposit of Rs.30,000/- for Government Quota in Medical colleges, Rs.1,00,000/- for Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges and Rs.2,00, 000/- for Management Quota including Minority/ NRI Category seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges.

Apart from this, the freshly allotted candidates also have to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.

All candidates should make sure that they have a sufficient funds in their bank account with an expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.

The re-allotted candidates who already paid the tuition fee in the Round-I & Round 2 of online counselling, have to pay the difference (if any) amount only.

The re-allotted/allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.

UPGRADATION IN MOP-UP ROUND (ROUND 3)

1 Candidates who resigned from Round 1 and Round 2 within the stipulated date and time will be allowed to participate in the Mop-up Round (Round 3) and subsequent rounds.

2 Candidates of Round 1 and Round 2 who have not resigned can go for Upgradation in Mop-Up Round (Round 3).

3 Candidates of Round 1 and Round 2 allotted and not joined can also go for upgradation in the Mop-up Round (Round 3).

4 The candidates who wish to retain the college taken in the 1st & the 2nd round of online counselling need not participate in the Mop-Up Round (Round -3) of counselling.

VIRTUAL VACANCIES

1 Any Candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 & Round 2 and has opted for up-gradation in Mop-up (Round 3), that allotted seat of Round 1 & Round 2 will be shown as a virtual vacancy in Mop-Up (Round 3), any Candidates can fill the virtual seat during the choice filling in Mop-up Round (Round 3). However, such seats will be allotted in the Mop-up Round (Round 3), only if the allotted candidate of Round 1 & Round 2 vacates that seat. Thus, that virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy and it is open to all in the order of merit.

2 Any candidate who has opted for upgradation in Mop-up (Round-3 -3) allotted seat in Mop-up round (Round-3) will necessarily have to vacate the seat and cannot claim to retain the seats. Below are the details-

If allotted and joined.

Not allowed to vacate the seat. If wants to discontinue the course then forfeiture of the Registration fee, Security Deposit and Tuition Fee and pay a penalty.

Not allowed for Stray Round.

If allotted and not joined.

Forfeit Registration Fee, Security Deposit and Tuition Fee (if paid for downloading allotment order).

Not Eligible for Stray Round.

If not allotted.

Eligible for Stray Round.

Not registered.

Eligible for Stray Round.

CHOICE FILLING

1 Candidates will have the option of choice filling for all the seats for which they have applied.

2 Candidates can edit their choices several times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit anymore. Hence candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference carefully before locking.

3 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date i.e 25 August 2024 till 5 PM, their choices will be automatically locked.

REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE

1 The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification

2 If the candidate does not report to the Head of the Institution to which they are allotted on or before the time and date specified, then the selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.

3 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, or mis-interpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
