DME Assam Announces Offline Counselling Schedule For Internship Training Of FMGs, details
Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has announced the offline counselling schedule to select Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) who are permanent residents of Assam and intend to undergo one-year compulsory rotating internship training at government medical colleges.
The counselling process will occur on 18th April 2023 at 11:00 am. The who are permanent residents of Assam and who have passed their MBBS (Part-II) final examination or equivalent degree from institutes outside India (Foreign Medical Graduates) intending to undergo 1 (one) year Compulsory Rotating Internship Training from Government Medical Colleges of Assam and who have applied for the same vide this Directorate Educational Notice No. DME/Intern/238/2013/Pt-VI/5979, Dated 04/03/2023, are eligible for counselling.
The candidates must physically appear for the offline counselling with all their original documents/ testimonials at the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, on the above date.
The submission of the online application process ended on 25th March 2023. The candidates were requested to acquire an acknowledgment receipt from the concerned after submission of their application form. In the application, the candidates are asked to fill name, father's/guardian's name, date of birth, address, district, state, phone number, email id, name of the institute, university from where MBBS or equivalent degree is passed, year of passing MBBS or equivalent degree, year of passing the test of FMGs, marks obtained in the screening test of FMGs, and institute of preference.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Training and Research, Assam was established in 1984 under the control of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic, and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through different hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in medical science in the state of Assam.
