DME Chhattishgarh Invites Applications From FMGs For Internship
Chattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) has asked foreign medical graduates (FMGs) to apply for internships per the NMC guidelines for compulsory rotating internship training for MBBS students.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) issued a circular on 4th March 2022, released the guideline for registering Foreign Medical Graduates for their internship in medical colleges & Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship Regulations, 2021. The regulations have been made effective from the date of publication in the Gazette of India, i.e., 18th November 2021.
As per NMC, the medical qualification/degree must be registerable to practice medicine in the respective jurisdiction of the country in which the medical degree is awarded and at par with the license to practice medicine given to citizens of that country.
The following documents have to be submitted by the foreign medical graduates to apply for the internship –
1. Application for an internship duly filled.
2. Passed mark sheet/certificate, including candidate photograph, of Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi, with self-attested.
3. Candidate MBBS Graduation related all self-attested passing mark sheets/ certificates.
4. Candidate Passport photocopy (all pages) with self-attested.
5. Candidate Visa photocopy (all pages) with self-attested.
6. Candidate Aadhar Card photocopy with self-attested.
7. Candidate Domicile certificate photocopy with self-attested.
DME is the state authority under the control of the state government. It overlooks medical and dental education in the state through medical and dental colleges. It is located in Old Nurses Hostel, DKS Bhawan Parisar, Raipur CG.
The courses included are -
1. Medical (MBBS, MD/MS Diploma)
2. Physiotherapy (BPT)
3. CPS
4. Dental (BDS, MDS)
5. Nursing (BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, GNM)
6. BASLP
