Final year Indian MBBS student dies in Russia
Gorakhpur: In an unfortunate incident, a 24-year-old student from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur who went to Russia to study MBBS at the Voronezh State Medical University died from complications of the operations on May 13. In response to a letter from Sadar MP Ravikishan and with the help of the Ministry of External Affairs, her body reached her hometown on Friday night.
The deceased was a brilliant student who topped in studies from the very beginning. With a dream to become a doctor, she took admission in Voronezh State Medical University, Russia to study MBBS in 2019.

While she was in the final year, she began experiencing abdomen pain and decided to get a checkup at her university. When the test results were released, the doctors discovered issue in her peritoneum layer and subsequently performed a surgery on her on May 11. After the surgery, she was shifted to the ICU of the university but unfortunately died about 48 hours following the operation, reports Amar Ujala .
Due to her dead body being kept in abroad, her parents became devastated.
According to the parents, their daughter could have been saved if proper treatment was provided on time. The student's mother said that she received a call from her daughter on May 9 when she was suffering from the abdomen pain.
A final year medical student in Russia, called Sadar MP Ravi Kishan from there and told the whole thing and sought help to send the dead body to India. The incident caught the attention of Ministry of External Affairs after MP Ravi Kishan wrote a letter describing the situation of the family and their dead daughter.
Her last rites is expected to be performed at Dohrighat today. In mourning for their daughter, her parents and two siblings blamed the doctors of the Russian university. It was alleged that the doctors were negligent in their medical care.
