MD, MS Entrance exam July 2020 postponed due to coronavirus outbreak: PGIMER issues notice
Chandigarh: Through a recent notice, the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has informed about the postponement of MD/MS Entrance exam for July 2020 session in view of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic and lockdown.
The institute clearly states in the notice:
Due to COVID -2019 outbreak, the MD/MS Entrance exam for July 2020 session scheduled on 23.05.2020 has been postponed till further orders. The revised dates will be intimated shortly.
For further updates, applicants are advised to visit the website i.e. pgimer.edu.in regularly.

The total number of seats has increased to 295 Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats in its residency-cum-training program of three years.

2. *As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities Act 2016, five per cent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. The disability certificate of candidates should be issued by the authorized Medical Board of the State Govt./Govt. of India or any other Competent authority authorized in this regard by the state/Government of India.
3. *In the case of Rural Area candidates, five per cent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis.
4. Sponsored/Foreign National Seats will not be converted against any other category.
