AIIMS Jodhpur Invites Online Applications For Executive Program in Public Health Policy, Leadership, Management, check out details
Jodhpur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Jodhpur) has invited online applications for Executive Program in Public Health Policy, Leadership & Management.
The completed application and annexures should be submitted by 30th May 2023, 05:00 PM at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfAWVDh1DUdhnmhud3eqOoSOdiorQMq2k1qZquNrE9mrLE81g/viewform The session will start on 1st July 2023. The application submitted by Foreign Candidates should be routed through the Ministry of External Affairs.
Eligibility Criteria –
Educational Qualifications –
Medical: MBBS /BDS/ AYUSH (Alternative System of Medicine in India)
Non-Medical:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Veterinary Sciences, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks
2. Any other graduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks
Other essential criteria –
1. Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably experience working in health care settings.
2. Should have No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer/sponsoring organization.
Seats –
20 seats available, of which 15 Indian nationals (Medical: 8, Non-Medical: 7) and 5 Foreign Candidates.

Duration of the course - Six Months
Program Description –
1. Executive Program in Public Health Policy, Leadership & Management is a 6-month training program designed for mid-career and senior level (more than 5 yrs of work experience) working professionals who aspire to augment their leadership and management skills while still within their workplace.
2. This program allows in-service candidates to complete the course by participating in two weeks of contact sessions and 22 weeks of supervised online interactive sessions.
3. This program is intended for working professionals sponsored by State and Central organizations and those working in private organizations from diverse sectors, including health and social services, community organizations, Education, Clinical Research, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical companies.
Learning Outcomes –
1. Develop an understanding of the steps of the policymaking process, including problem identification formulation, implementation, analysis, and evaluation.
2. Understand the functioning of different sectors and stakeholders involved in policymaking.
3. Acquire knowledge for effectively managing health programs and projects.
Program Structure –
This course will include on-campus coursework and online modalities. Teaching pedagogy will consist of didactic sessions, seminars, fieldwork, assignments, and web-based teaching. The program is conducted in didactic sessions, seminars, and the dual mode viz.; it involves 2 weeks of contact classes and 22 weeks of web-based learning, including project work.
The contact classes will be held at the campus of AIIMS Jodhpur. These weeklong contact classes will be scheduled at the course's beginning and end. Teaching and learning in the rest of the course will be carried out based on planned weekly and fortnightly readings and regular assignments, primarily through web-based mediums, under the supervision of the assigned faculty. The course will be delivered through lectures, tutorials, presentations, guided reading, seminars, fieldwork, and research projects.
The candidates are expected to complete 7 credits through online mode, 2 credits through contact session, and 1 credit for an academic project distributed over the following 6 modules and academic project spread over six months.

AIIMS has further announced that after receipt of the application, shortlisted candidates based on their Statement of Purpose and Curriculum Vitae will be called for Personal/Web-based interviews. Based on their merit, candidates will be offered admission to the course.
The candidate will be assessed both formative as well as summative. Assessment includes the successful submission of assignments at the end of each module.
