BOPEE gives chance to correct BSc Nursing, Paramedical application forms, details
Jammu & Kashmir: The candidates who have applied for admission to the BSc Nursing / BSc Paramedical / BSc Technology courses 2023 has been granted a chance to make necessary corrections, if any, in their online application forms. J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced this through a written notice.
As per the notice, the candidates can submit their representations physically at the BOPEE Office Jammu/Srinagar up to 11.05.2023 (till 03:00 pm) only on working days. The corrections can be made regarding their particulars viz; Name, Parentage, DOB, Preferences, Gender, Category etc. The Board will entertain no representations/applications after the prescribed date expires.
BOPEE has stated that it has received many representations through E-mails and phone calls from various candidates seeking rectification in respect of the mistakes/errors made during the submission of the online application forms by them. And because of this, candidates have been granted a chance to make necessary corrections in their online application forms.
Further, the Board has tentatively decided to conduct the common entrance test for admission to the above courses on 11-06-2023. The other terms and conditions, as notified vide Notification No. 023-BOPEE of 2023 dated 18-04-2023, will remain the same.
Mere submission of the application form and appearance of the aspiring candidate in the entrance test will not confer any preferential right/claim for admission upon the intending applicants. Still, it will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria and the qualification prescribed for the said course.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) was established by an Act of the State Legislature (Act No. XXV of 2002). Under the Act, the Board is entrusted with conducting entrance examinations and recommending the selection of candidates for admission to various Professional courses in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh. These Programmes, interalia, include Nursing/Para-medical Courses as per SRO-505 dated 20-08-2019 & SO 640 issued by Health and Medical Education Department J&K Government.
