BFUHS begins Round 2 NEET Counselling, Details

Faridkot: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has begun 2nd round of counseling for NEET UG from 09.08.2023.

Detailed schedule –

Date for fresh online registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applicants

09.08.23 to 12.08.23

The last date for submitting willingness and a security deposit for 2nd round of counseling by all the candidates (already registered candidates and fresh applicants).

09.08.23 to 12.08.23

Display of tentative vacancy position of seats for 2nd round of counseling

The provisionally selected candidates will pay the balance amount of the fee (A six-month fee after deducting the amount of the security deposit) through the university payment gateway available on the university website and will report to the respective college for joining the respective allotted college.

The candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 5900 (Rs. 2950 for SC candidates), including 18% GST through the university payment portal. Fresh registered candidates will have to submit willingness along with a security deposit for 2nd online counseling. Failing this, their candidature will not be considered.

The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under -

1. For Government colleges - Rs. 10000 (half for SC/BC)

2. For both Govt. & Private Colleges – Rs. 100000

3. For Private Colleges – Rs. 100000

Once the last application filling is over, the application will be locked automatically. Once information is filled and locked, it will not be allowed to change in any round of counselling. The application form for getting an Eligibility certificate and admission application form for NRI candidates is separately available on the University website.

The candidates who will apply under Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar / Christian Minority College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The candidates who have already got verified their minority status at the time of 1st counselling need not report to the respective institute for verification again. The candidates, who have already registered under Minority Quota during 1st counselling and did not get their minority status verified, can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for 2nd round of counselling.

The candidates note that objections related to allotment can be submitted only by personal appearance/visit along with relevant documents/records in Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot.

Sports Category –

The Govt. of Punjab, Deptt. of Medical Education and Research issued corrigendum no. No.5/5/2021-5HB3/748 dated 01.08.2023 for Sports category seats vide which Credit shall be given for the sports achievements made during the session 2019-20 to 2022-23, and admission shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates determined on the basis of gradation (Category A/B/C) issued by the Director of Sports, Punjab. Accordingly, fresh online applications are invited for Sports category seats as per revised criteria up to 12.08.23. The freshly applied candidates will submit the hard copy of the online applied application along with a sports gradation certificate issued by the sports department and relevant proofs of sports achievement as per corrigendum upto 12.08.2023 personally in Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, failing which their candidature will not be considered under Sports Category Merit.

The candidates who have already applied under the sports category but did not submit the hard copy can submit the hard copy up to 12.08.23. The applicants who have already applied but did not apply under the Sports category and found themselves eligible under the sports category as per the above corrigendum will have to visit Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, personally upto 12.08.23 along with relevant documents for addition/applying under Sports Category in the Admission Branch, Faridkot, failing which their candidature will not be considered under Sports Category Merit.

The following candidates are eligible for 2nd Round of allotment -

Candidates eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round would be from one of the following groups -

1. Group–I: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round.

2. Group II: Registered candidates who have secured seats & whose 1st round of allotted seats got canceled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in the respective category.

3. Group–III: Candidates who have reported at the allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.

4. Group-IV: Candidates who have been allotted a seat but have Not Joined.

5. Group-V: Candidates who have resigned in online mode during the time frame from the allotted seat of the first round at college.

The following candidates are not eligible for 2nd Round of allotment -

1. Candidate who has become non-eligible due to having inadequate documents as per Eligibility Criteria as per Punjab Govt. notification/MCC- UG

2. Who has not registered in Round 1 or Round 2

The candidate will submit willingness and security deposit as per the rules & regulations of the Government of India posted on www.mcc.nic.in. Only those candidates will be considered for 2nd round who will submit their willingness by depositing the requisite security amount for participation. The candidates to whom seats are allotted in the 1st round of counselling will also submit their willingness to participate in the 2nd round of online counselling, however, the fee deposited by them will be adjusted, and they will have to pay the remaining amount of security deposit. Those who have already paid tuition fees of more than Rs. 10000 (half of SC/BC) for Govt. colleges and Rs. 100000 for Private colleges need not pay the security deposit again. Consent/willingness is mandatory to participate in 2nd round.

Candidates to whom a seat will be allotted in the 2nd round but who do not report/join at the college may exit with forfeiture (i.e., The security deposit will not be refunded in such case).

Candidates who will not join the allotted seat in Round 2 will be eligible for further rounds of counselling, but the security amount deposited for 2nd Round will be forfeited and the applicant will have to register fresh and will have to deposit the fresh security deposit for 3rd round along with. The provisions with regard to the security deposit and eligibility for participation will be as per the revised information bulletin posted on the MCC website.

The security deposit will be refunded only in case no seat will be allotted in 2nd round of counselling. The candidate will have to submit fresh choices/preferences for Round-2 online counselling. Choices submitted during Round I will be treated as null and void.

Frequently Asked Questins (FAQs) -

Q1: After joining Second Round of Counseling, whether one can leave/ Resign the allotted seat?

Ans: Once the applicant join the 2nd round seat, he/she will allowed to leave/resign the seat within stipulated period but the security deposit will be forfeited.

Q2: If a candidate does not report at the allotted college during Round 2 whether he has to register again for Round 3?

Ans: Yes, Candidate security amount will be forfeited and he can participate in Round 3 only with Fresh registration and security deposit.

Q3: Whether the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3?

Ans: Yes, the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3 but once, the candidate will join the upgraded seat in Round 3, he/she cannot resign/leave the seat.

Q4: If the candidate does not join the allotted/upgraded seat during Round 3, whether the security deposit will be forfeited?

Ans: Yes, the security amount will be forfeited.

Q5: When will conversion of seats to open merit will carried out?

Ans: The conversion of seats of NRI and any reserve category after exhausting all candidates in relevant category will be carried out during the Round 3. The said conversion will be done only when the eligible Candidates belonging to the said Conversion Category have exhausted.
