BFUHS Invites Applications for NEET 2024 Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS, BDS Admissions, check schedule
Punjab- The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BUFHS) is inviting online applications from the NEET UG 2024 qualified candidates for admission to the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Stray Vacancy Round for the academic year 2024-25.
Eligible and interested candidates willing to participate in NEET UG Stray Vacancy Round 2024 should submit the application form through the official website of the university from 25 to 27 October 2024 for admission to the vacant seats of MBBS/BDS courses.
Along with this, candidates also need to pay the registration fee of Rs 5000+18% GST (Rs 5900/-) and Rs. 2500+18%GST (Rs. 2950/- for SC candidates). However, the candidate who has already registered but not holding any seats in Rounds I, II & III need not apply again.
Below is the detailed schedule for the Stray Vacancy round of UG Medical/Dental online Punjab State counselling under NEET UG-2024-

2 | Date for fresh online registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applicants along with the fee of Rs. 5000+18%GST(Rs. 5900/-) and Rs. 2500+18%GST(Rs. 2950/- for SC candidates) through university payment portal. (Fresh registered candidates will have to submit willingness along with a security deposit for Stray Vacancy online counselling. Failing which their candidature will not be considered. | 25 to 27 October 2024 (upto 02:00 PM) |
3 | The last date for submitting willingness along with a security deposit for the Stray Vacancy round of counselling by all the candidates (already registered candidates and fresh applicants). The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under For Government colleges - Rs. 10000/- (half for SC/BC) For both Govt. & Private Colleges – Rs. 2,00,000/- For Private Colleges – Rs. 2,00,000/-. | 25 to 28 October 2024 (upto 05:00 PM) |
4 | The last date for submitting the admission application form for the NRI quota. (The application form for getting an Eligibility certificate and admission application form for NRI candidates is separately available on the University website). | 28 October 2024 (upto 05:00 PM) |
5 | The candidates who will apply under the Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar / Christian Minority College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The candidates who have already got verified their minority status at the time of 1st,2nd & 3rd counselling, need not report to the respective institute for verification again. The candidates who have already registered under Minority Quota during 1st & the 2nd & 3rd counselling and did not get their minority status verified can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for the Stray Vacancy Round of counselling. | 26 to 27 October 2024 (upto 04:00 PM) |
6 | Display of Provisional Merit List | 30 October 2024 |
7 | Candidates who will submit willingness for the Stray Vacancy round including NRI candidates will fill/submit the online choices/ preferences of college/Course/Quota/Category. | 30 October 2024 to 01 November 2024 |
8 | Processing of seat allotment. | 02 to 03 November 2024 |
9 | Display of provisional allotment / Result Note: As per the schedule of MCC Stray Vacancy round counselling, they will show the joined candidates' data of State(s). The final allotment will be declared after debarring the joined candidates (if any) from the provisional allotment of the Stray Vacancy Round of Punjab State. | 04 November 2024 |
10 | The provisionally selected candidates will pay the balance amount of the fee (A six-month fee after deducting the amount of the security deposit) through the university payment gateway available on the university website and will report to the respective college for joining in the respective allotted college. | 05 November 2024 |
It is to be noted that the security deposit of candidates who do not join the allotted seat in the Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited and such candidates will be debarred from taking the NEET exam for the next year.
Along with this, BUFHS has also released the tentative vacant seat matrix for the Stray Vacancy Round of Online Counseling for admission under NEET UG 2024 in the State of Punjab. As per the vacant seat matrix, a total of 39 seats are vacant in MBBS and BDS courses. Of these, 17 seats are vacant in the MBBS course and 22 seats are vacant in BDS Courses.
