BOPEE postpones stray round 2 for DNB admissions 2025, new dates soon

Srinagar: In an important update for DNB aspirants seeking admissions in Jammu and Kashmir, the JnK Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has postponed the Stray Round 2 physical counselling for admission to DNB Courses 2025.
The counselling, which was earlier scheduled to be held on March 2, 2026, has now been deferred until further orders, as per Notice No. 006-BOPEE of 2026 dated March 1, 2026. The decision comes in continuation of the earlier notification issued on February 27, 2026.
While the Board has not specified the reason for the postponement, it has assured candidates that fresh counselling dates will be announced separately. Aspirants are strongly advised to keep checking the official website of JKBOPEE for timely updates.
The notice has been issued by Prof. Gurvinder Raj Verma, Controller of Examinations, JKBOPEE, and shared with senior government and health officials for necessary action.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) approved 8,424 newly granted seats for Postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2025-26, up from 8,416 in the earlier notification. With this revision, the total number of PG medical seats has increased to 58,400, compared to 58,331 announced previously, reflecting a rise of 69 seats.
According to NMC seat matrix, 1,328 PG seats have been added in Karnataka, 1,034 PG seats in Uttar Pradesh, 905 seats in Tamil Nadu, 657 PG seats in Gujarat, 653 seats in Maharashtra, 531 seats in Telangana, 509 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 482 seats in Andhra Pradesh, and 440 seats in Rajasthan, 235 seats have been added in Bihar, 226 seats in Odisha, 224 seats in West Bengal, 213 seats in Haryana, 154 seats in Kerala, 149 seats in Uttarakhand, 139 seats in Chhattisgarh, 120 seats in Jammu & Kashmir, and 115 seats in Punjab. 78 seats have been added in Puducherry, 47 seats in Delhi, 41 seats in Assam, 36 seats in Himachal Pradesh, 23 seats in Arunachal Pradesh, 20 seats in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, 16 seats each in Jharkhand and Tripura, 13 seats in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and 10 seats each in Manipur and Mizoram
