CENTAC Notifies On NEET 2024 Round 2 Registration, Seat Withdrawal, Course Preferences, all details here

Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has commenced the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 2 registration. On this, CENTAC has released a notice detailing the Round 2 registration, withdrawal of seats admitted in Round 1, and submission of course preferences for National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024-based medical courses.

As per the notice, for Round 2 admission to the first year MBBS, BDS & BAMS (Ayurveda) courses in Government and Self Financing Medical, Dental & Ayurveda colleges in the UT of Puducherry, payment of Registration Fee and filling of Course Preferences under Government, Management (MQ), Management (MQ-Telugu Minority), Management (MQ-Christian Minority) and NRI Quota will be enabled from 11th totill 16th September 2024. Of these, the last date for submitting a withdrawal request for the admitted seat of Round 1 is 14th September 2024. The last date for payment of registration fee, submission of wish and course preference is 16th September 2024. Therefore, students registered with CENTAC including candidates allotted during Round 1 (Join/Non-Join) are eligible for Round 2 counselling.

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR MBBS ONLY

To participate in Round 2 counselling, candidates need to pay the registration fee as prescribed below-

Meanwhile, Puducherry Candidates who opt for both Government and Management Quota seats should pay the Registration Fee for Management Quota alone i.e., Rs.2,00,000/. The SC/ST candidates admitted in Round 1 will have to pay the registration fee of Rs.5,000/- (for Government quota) and Rs.2,00,000/- (for Management quota) to participate in Round 2 counselling.

With this, candidates are requested to transfer the registration fee to the CENTAC account by generating NEFT/RTGS challan through Net Banking or using the payment option available in the dashboard login credentials and proceed with payment.

It should be noted that only those candidates will be considered for Round 2 who will pay the registration fee. However, candidates who have already taken admission through Round 1 counselling, except SC/ST candidates, can participate in Round 2 without paying the registration fee.

FORFEITURE OF REGISTRATION FEE

1 The Registration Fee will be returned to all those candidates who are not allotted any seat in round 2.

2 The fee in respect of the candidates who are allotted seats will be retained and will be adjusted with the course fee i.e., round 2 allotted candidates need to pay the balance course fee by adjusting the Registration Fee already paid.

3 The same Registration Fee will be forfeited, if the candidate who is allotted a seat in round 2, fails to join.

SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES

1 All candidates registering for round 2 should submit course preferences afresh for round 2.

2 In round 2, once the candidates expressed their willingness and if a new seat is allotted based on their round 2 course preferences, then the course in which the candidate was admitted in round 1 will be automatically cancelled.

3 The candidate is solely responsible for filling course preferences. No request for change in course preferences will be entertained, once course preferences are submitted by the candidate. No seat will be allotted if the course preference is vacant.

4 As per the directions received from RIVER, NRI/OCI/Wards of NRI parents are only eligible for the NRI vacant seats in B.V.Sc.,& AH.
