Chhattisgarh NEET Counselling 2026: Round 2 Registration Begins,1304 MBBS/BDS Seats Up for Grabs

Chhattisgarh- For the 2026 admission session, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has invited applications from all eligible candidates for fresh registration and from previously registered eligible candidates for online college selection for the second round of counselling.
This process covers admissions to seats remaining vacant after the first round of allotment for the NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) course in government and private medical and dental colleges across the state of Chhattisgarh.
Before submitting an online application and selecting an institution, all applicants are advised to thoroughly study the "Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental, and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025" (specifically regarding reservation, the counselling process, bonds, etc.), available on the DME Chhattisgarh official website, and then proceed with the online application.
As per the notice issued by the DME Chhattisgarh in this regard, the online application window will open on, 5 September 2026, at 11:00 AM and remain available till 8 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Also, choice filling and locking will begin on 5 September 2026 at 11:00 AM and continue till 9 September 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Along with this, DME Chhattisgarh has also invited online applications for the first round of counselling for admission to undergraduate courses (MBBS/BDS) offered at government and private medical and dental colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh for the year 2026.
As per the official schedule, the online application process will begin on August 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM and will continue till August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Also, the choice filling and locking window will open on August 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM, while candidates will be allowed to submit and lock their choices till August 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

APPLICATION FEE
The Directorate has prescribed a non-refundable online application fee according to the candidate’s category.
Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR) and Other Backwards Classes (OBC) categories will have to pay Rs 1,000. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) categories, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 500. Candidates applying under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 10,000.
The facility for online application and registration will be available to candidates at each stage of counselling, and a fresh merit list will be published for each stage. Students admitted in the first phase of counselling after allotment and who have filled the option of upgradation.
REGISTRATION FEE/ SECURITY FEE
This amount is refundable; however, it will be forfeited if a candidate fails to secure admission after being allotted a seat in any phase subsequent to the first phase, or if they surrender their seat after having secured admission. (This registration fee/security deposit does not apply to the BDS course.)

Before registering online, please thoroughly study the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental, and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, specifically the sections regarding reservation, the counselling process, bonds, persons with disabilities (PwD), other categories, etc.
Even after locking and submitting the online application, if you wish to make changes, a free editing facility will remain available until the application deadline; however, entries derived directly from the examination result data provided by the Central Government, as well as the mobile number and e-mail address entered by the applicant, cannot be modified.
Options for fee payment via Internet Banking, debit cards, and credit cards are available. Candidates are advised to pay the application fee and registration fee (security deposit) using only their own bank account or that of their parents/guardians.
Additionally, they must provide an alternative bank account number for use in any unforeseen circumstances. If a candidate is eligible for a refund under the applicable rules, the registration amount (security deposit) will be refunded to the same account from which the registration fee was originally paid.

Along with this, the Directorate has also released a Round 2 clear vacancy list showing 1,304 seats available for allotment. The vacancies are spread across government quota, management quota, NRI quota and minority quota seats in medical and dental colleges. Below is the detailed seat matrix-
