DME Assam releases NEET PG Merit List For State Quota Seats
Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has announced the NEET PG 2023 state merit list for state quota seats.
The merit list includes State Rank, Roll No, Name Of The Candidate, Score (OUT OF 800), Additional Marks, Total after adding additional mark, NEET - PG 2023 RANK, Category, State of MBBS Completion, Permanent State, Permanent Country, and Remarks. The detailed merit list is enclosed in the notice below.
As per the notice, the state merit list has been released after adding weightage for difficult areas. The merit list is uploaded on the official website www.dme.assam.gov.in. The date of counselling will be announced in due course of time. The candidates need to keep track of the official website for further announcements.
The Director of Medical Education conducts the state's NEET PG 2023 counselling process. The candidates who qualify for NEET PG with other eligibility criteria will only be eligible to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. There are three rounds (round 1, round 2, and mop-up round) of counselling to fill the seats. A 4th round (stray vacancy round) is conducted only when seats remain vacant after 3 rounds of counselling. The seats are allocated based on NEET score, choices filled, and seats available.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Training and Research, Assam was established in the year 1984 under the control of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through different hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in the field of medical science in the state of Assam.
