Andhra Pradesh: Dr. YSR University Of Health Sciences has begun the choice-filling process for the MBBS round 1 counseling process. The list of colleges, along with sharing of seats for 2023-24, has also been released.

The candidates can do the choice filling till up to 09.00 PM on 19.08.2023. The tentative date of allotment of seats will be done on 20.08.2023 at 11.00 AM. All the candidates whose names are present in the Final Merit Position displayed on 18.08.2023 on the University Website are only eligible to exercise web options on the above schedule dates as per the Seat Matrix displayed on the website https://drysr.uhsap.in.

The choice-filling process will be carried out for the following –

1. Competent Authority (Self-financing) seats and Competent Authority (NRI Category) seats in new Government Medical Colleges permitted from the academic Year 2023-24 onwards.

2. Management Quota [(Category-B1, B2, and Category-C(NRI)] seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges affiliated to Dr. YSRUHS.

3. NRI Category seats in Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (Under SVIMS), Tirupati.

Candidates are advised to go through the prospectus for the regulations of Dr. YSR UHS available on the website before exercising web options. The number of seats available under Management Quota Category B1, B2 & Category C (NRI) in Private Unaided Non-Minority and Minority Medical Colleges is given in Annexure-I.

Only Muslim minority candidates are eligible to exercise web options for Management quota seats in Un-aided Private Minority Medical colleges. The allotments will be as per the prioritized options exercised by the candidates.

The selected candidates for the MBBS course in Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (under SVIMS), Tirupati, have to pay the tuition fee at the respective college at the time of admission. Visit SVIMS Website http://svimstpt.ap.nic.in for details of tuition fees and other fee particulars.

Options -

1. The eligible candidates present in the Provisional Final Merit list displayed on 18.08.2023 should exercise options.

2. A candidate has to exercise options for the interested medical colleges in the order of priority.

3. Candidates are instructed to be careful while exercising options on the web. One Time Password will be sent to the registered mobile and mail at the time of entering and submitting web options.

4. The options, once exercised, are final. No request for a change of options or order of college priorities will be entertained after the closure of above said web options schedule.

5. Candidates are instructed to take the print out of the saved options.

Management Quota B & C (NRI) seats in Minority Medical Colleges will be allotted to Muslim Minority Candidates only. If Muslim Minority Candidates are unavailable, the seats will be allotted to Non-Muslim Minority Candidates in the Mop- up Phase of Counselling. Muslim Minority Candidates are also eligible for Management Quota seats in other Medical Colleges.

Candidates have to exercise options for categories B1, B2, and if eligible for C Category (NRI) in order of priority of the colleges. Allotments will be made according to the order of preference in the web options exercised by the candidate and as per the rules.

Candidates will receive a message regarding the allotment of seats if the seat is allotted.

Selected candidates have to report to the Principal of the allotted college before the last date and time for joining as specified on the allotment letter with all original certificates and relevant bonds, if any, and pay the tuition fee and college fee to complete the process of admission. If the candidate fails to report before the reporting date and time, the admission will be canceled automatically.

Candidates are hereby informed that final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college of admission, and in case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be canceled, and action will be initiated as per University Regulations.

The candidates who do not report at the allotted college in the 1st phase of counseling will be allowed to participate in the 2nd Phase of counseling.

Candidates allotted a seat under NRI Quota should produce the relevant sponsorship letter from NRI relative / guardian in Original, along with a copy of the passport/ Residence Proof/Bank Statement or passbook of the sponsor for the NRI Category at the respective colleges.

The next rounds of counseling (exercising web options) will be conducted for -

1. Unfilled seats in phase – 1.

2. Not reported / Not joined seats after Phase-1.

As per G.O.Ms.No.72, HM&FW (C1) Dept., dt.15-07-2019, if any candidate wants to withdraw from the course after the closure of admissions in the middle of the course, such candidate has to submit his/her request through the Principal of the college concerned along with course discontinuation fee Rs.300000 plus GST as applicable to the University by way of demand draft.

Request for withdrawal from the course/cancellation of admission, if any, received from the candidate directly to the University, the same will not be entertained under any circumstances, and no further correspondence will be entertained.

“Once a candidate secures admission to a particular college / course based on his / her option in the 1st counseling, such candidate shall be allowed for sliding for admission into other college / course in the 2nd counseling. No more claims to admission into other colleges / course be entertained after 2nd counseling during that academic year”. (G.O.Ms.No.71, HM&FW (C1) Dept., dated 15.07.2019 & G.O.Ms.No.72, HM&FW(C1) Dept., dated 15.07.2019 of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh).

Process for choice filling –

1. Click on the “WEB OPTIONS FOR MBBS MQ Candidates” button provided on the left side of the URL loading page. The candidates will be directed to the “WEB OPTIONS” page.

2. Upon clicking the WEB OPTIONS button, the candidates will be directed to the “INSTRUCTIONS” Page. Read the Instructions carefully, Scroll Down & tick the “CHECKBOX”, then click on the “PROCEED TO WEB OPTIONS” button.

3. Enter Application ID (Ex: UG23MQXXXX) & NEET All India Rank and click “VERIFY”.

4. Please enter the OTP received on the mobile number or email and click “LOGIN”. In case the candidates have not received OTP for 3 minutes, please click on “RESEND OTP”.

5. The candidates will see a list of colleges below their basic details. The number of colleges displayed will depend on their eligibility with respect to Gender, Minority, and NRI details.

6. Click on the “SELECT” Button to add a college to the priority list, which is displayed on the Right side of the screen. Click on the “REMOVE” Button to remove a college from the priority list. The candidates can move a college either up or down their priority list by clicking on the “UP” or “DOWN” Buttons. Select colleges of your preference to their priority list in order to submit.

7. After selecting all colleges, click on the “PREVIEW & SUBMIT” button present at the bottom of the page.

8. After clicking on the “PREVIEW & SUBMIT” button, the candidates will be directed to the Submission page, and there they can see & verify all their options before submission.

9. If the candidates are satisfied with the order of their priority, click on the “SUBMIT WITH OTP” button placed at the bottom of the page. If they want to change their order, click on the “BACK” button.

10. After clicking on the “SUBMIT WITH OTP” button, the candidates will receive an OTP. Please enter OTP in the required field present at the bottom of the screen & click “VERIFY & SUBMIT”.

11. Only after clicking the “VERIFY& SUBMIT” button will your options be submitted; otherwise, options will not be saved. After the successful submission of OTP, you can take the printout of web options by clicking on the “PRINT” button present at the bottom of the screen.

University Fee -

The selected candidates have to download the allotment order by paying the following University fee through Payment Gateway by using an online payment method. (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/UPI) and report to the Principal of the allotted college along with the allotment order and original certificates before the date specified in the allotment order and pay the prescribed tuition fee at the college.

New govt. medical colleges have 320 seats vacant, which self-financing (35%) has 225 seats, and the NRI category (15%) has 95 seats vacant. Private un-aided non-minority medical colleges (management quota) have 1448 seats vacant, out of which CAT B1 has 152 seats, CAT B2 has 852 seats, and C (NRI) has 444 seats vacant. Whereas private un-aided minority medical colleges have 125 seats vacant, out of which CAT B has 88 seats and CAT C (NRI) has 37 seats vacant.
