INI SS January 2024: AIIMS Patna releases schedule eligibility criteria, know all admission details here
Patna : All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Patna) has released the Prospectus of INI-SS for January, 2024 session consists of information regarding eligibility criteria for appearing in the examination, cities of examination, application fee, the process of application, scheme of examination/evaluation salary/stipend, rules of leaves, hostels, admission fee, penalty after resignation, etc. for the purpose of the conduct of common entrance test.
The registration window will remain open till 25th November 2023.
All the concerned candidates are advised to check out the admission details as follows:

Upper age limit and age relaxation
The upper Age limit is 45 years as on the last date of the online application
Upper age limit is relaxable for OBC Candidates by a maximum of 3 years.
Upper age limit is relaxable in the case of SC/ST candidates by a maximum of 5 years.
The persons with benchmark disabilities shall be given an upper age relaxation of five years for admission to DM/M.Ch. for PwBD candidates as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016.
Upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officers including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment with age relaxation by a maximum of 5 years.
Duration of course:
The tenure of training is three (03) years from the date of joining the course.

Merit List
All qualified candidates will be assigned a rank and will be placed in the list in order of overall rank. The merit list will be prepared as per the percentile scores. The candidate must secure a 50th percentile mark to be eligible for admission.
Method of Resolving Ties
i. According to age (Date of birth), the older candidate shall get preference over the younger one.
ii. If the age is the same, then the candidate who has scored a less negative score will rank senior
iii. If the negative score is also the same, then a candidate who has obtained higher marks (Aggregate) in the MD
exam will rank senior
iv. If marks in MD are also equal or if marks are not allotted, then a candidate who has obtained higher marks (Aggregate) in MBBS will rank as senior
Joining
The first counselling for admission will take place on 18.12.2023. The selected candidate is required to join the course on or before 15.01.2024. The competent authority may permit an extension till 31.01.2024 based on the merit of each case. In case the selected candidate fails to join by the given date and no written request for extension is received by 15.01.2024, it will be assumed that he/she does not intend to join the course and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.
The last date for admission to the course will be 15.01.2024. In any circumstances, the last date for admission including last counselling will not be extended beyond 31.01.2024.
Course Fee and Emoluments

Other terms and conditions
No reservation is applicable in DM/M.Ch. Courses.
The candidates must have completed the requisite qualification, degree, and tenure by 15.01.2024. The candidates who are likely to complete their 3 years of requisite qualification, degree, and tenure after 15.01.2024 will not be eligible to appear in this examination.
Those candidates who are in Government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the competent authority at the time of counseling.
The courses will start from dates as mentioned in important dates at a glance.
Last date for admission to the DM course will be as per dates mentioned in important dates at a glance. In any circumstances, the last date for admission will not be extended after the dates mentioned above. This includes candidates on the wait list who may be offered a seat if the selected candidates do not join.Leave Rules As per AIIMS Patna Postgraduate leave rules.
Penalty for Leaving the Course Midway
1. INR Three (03) lakhs within six (06) months of the date of admission to the course.
2. INR Five (05) lakhs after six (06) months of the date of admission to the course.
Application process
The candidates are required to register online through the link available on website of AIIMS Patna. Thereafter, the candidates are required to fill the online application form.
Other Instructions for Online Application
Any candidate applying for the course will be deemed to have read the information brochure/prospectus, and notices published on the website.
In case of any ambiguity in the interpretation of any of the instructions/ terms/ rules/criteria regarding the determination of eligibility/ conduct of examinations/ registration of candidates/ information contained herein, the matter will be decided at the discretion of the Executive Director, AIIMS Patna and same shall be final and binding in nature.
Any wrong information provided by the candidate on the same may invite disciplinary action including debarment from future examinations.
AIIMS, Patna reserves its right to alter, amend, modify, or apply any or some of the instructions/ guidelines contained in this information brochure.
Cities for appearing in the Examination
The INI-SS (AIIMS Patna) for the January 2024 session is planned to be conducted at AIIMS, Patna only. However, in circumstances beyond the control of AIIMS Patna or the situation so warrants Examination can be conducted in any additional city

The applicant can pay the prescribed application fee through DEBIT CARD/ CREDIT CARD/ NETBANKING.
Transaction /Processing fee, if any, as applicable, will be payable to the respective bank, etc. by the applicant.
Application fees once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
If due to any reason, the application fee is paid more than once against one application form, the additional payments shall be refunded to applicants after verification & completion of the examination process.
Applications without the prescribed fee shall not be accepted and summarily rejected.
Correspondence with Examination Section, AIIMS Patna
The information will appear on the website strictly as per the time schedule laid down in the Prospectus. Telephonic queries/written requests prior to the scheduled dates mentioned in the information brochure regarding receipt of application, acceptance, issue of admit cards, etc. will not be entertained. Submission of caste certificate by SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates:
Although, no reservation is applicable in DM/M.Ch. courses, however, candidates seeking relaxation in age/ application fee on the basis of caste, have to submit an attested copy of the scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Classes (NCL) or EWS, as applicable, along with other requisite documents, from any of the following authorities stating that the candidate belongs to the Scheduled caste, scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy layer certificate in the central government format within one year of last date of submission of online application), or EWS in the prescribed format at the time of counseling.
A. District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Collector, 1st class Stipendiary Magistrate, City Magistrate, Sub-divisional Magistrate, Taluka Magistrate, Executive Magistrate, Extra Assistant Commissioner.
B. Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
C. Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
D. Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and his or her family normally reside.
E. Administrator/Secretary to Administrator/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep Island) or as authorized in the Constitution.
The candidate will be required to submit an undertaking to the effect of their caste. The detection of any discrepancy in the caste certificate shall entail the cancellation of registration. This is as per the provisions made by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions vide their order No. 36033/4/97-Estt. (RES) Dated 25-07-2003 and No.36011/3/2005-Estt. (RES) dated 9.9.2005 respectively.
Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation, and seal of the officer should be legible on the certificate.
Reasons for Rejection/ Cancellation of Application/Candidature:
Application/Candidature of Applicants is liable to be Cancelled/ Rejected Summarily at any stage of the Admission Process in the event of all or any of the following:
i. Applications being incomplete.
ii. Any variation in the signatures. It may be noted that all the signatures must be in full (not in short) and signatures done on the printout of the application form and other documents must be the same.
iii. The photograph and signature pasted/uploaded in the application form are blurred, distorted, or not clear.
iv. Non-Payment of Examination Fees or non-receipt of fees through online mode, if not otherwise exempted.
v. Fee not paid as per instructions.
vi. Underaged/overaged candidates.
vii. Failure to bring (in original) all relevant certificates/Documents issued by the competent authority, along with self¬attested legible copies in support of the information given in their Application forms about their Educational Qualifications; Experiences; Percentage of marks obtained; proof of age; proof of category (SC/ST/OBCEWS/PWBD) and their print out of application form at the time of verification of documents.
viii. Not having the requisite Educational Qualification/Category Status on the requisite date as mentioned in the Prospectus.
ix. Incorrect Information or misrepresentation or suppression of material facts.
x. For carrying mobile phones/ accessories in the examination premises/hall.
xi. Any other irregularity.
Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct:
A. Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information while filling in the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or the attested certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy, an explanation regarding this discrepancy should be submitted.
B. Without prejudice to criminal action/debarment up to 3 years from the examination conducted by AIIMS Patna wherever necessary, the candidature will be summarily canceled at any stage of the admission on respect of candidates found to have indulged in any of the following activities.
a. In the procession of mobile phones and/or accessories and other electronic gadgets within the premises of the examination centers, whether in use or in switched-off mode and on a person or otherwise.
b. Involved in malpractices.
c. Using unfair means in the examination hall.
d. Obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means.
e. Impersonate/procure impersonation by the person.
f. Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.
g. Making statements that are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
h. Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the examination.
i. Misbehaving in any other manner in the examination hall with the supervisor, invigilator, or supporting staff of AIIMS, Patna.
j. Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by AIIMS, Patna for the conduct of the examination.
Legal and Disciplinary Action
Legal and disciplinary action will be initiated by AIIMS Patna against persons who are found to be guilty of misconduct for reasons mentioned below (including but not limited to):
1. Obtaining support for his/her candidature by the following means, namely: offering illegal gratification to; or applying pressure on; or blackmailing, or threatening to blackmail any person connected with the conduct of the examination; or
2. impersonation; or
3. procuring impersonation by any person; or
4. submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with; or
5. providing false information regarding educational qualifications and/or experience (such as internship completion) for the sole purpose of appearing in the examination for practice or any other purposes; or
6. uploading irrelevant photos in the application form in place of actual photo/signature/; or
7. uploading morphed/digitally modified photos for the purpose of impersonation; or
8. making statements that are incorrect or false or suppressing material information; or
9. Resorting to the following means in connection with his/her candidature for the examination, namely: obtaining questions through improper means; finding out the particulars of the persons connected with secret work relating to the examination; influencing the personnel involved with the conduct of the examination.
10. being in possession of or using unfair means during the examination;
11. copying the questions, misbehaving in the examination hall including tearing of the scripts, provoking fellow examinees to boycott examination, creating a disorderly scene, and the like; or
12. harassing or doing bodily harm to the staff deputed by the Examination Section, Staff employed by Vendors for the purpose of conducting of examination.
13. being in possession of or using any mobile phone, (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination; or
14. Violating any of the instructions issued to candidates along with their admission certificates permitting them to take the examination; or
15. attempting to commit or, as the case may be, abetting the commission of all or any of the acts specified in the foregoing clauses; may in addition to rendering himself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable:
a. and shall be disqualified by the AIIMS Patna from this/or other Examinations for which he/she is a candidate; and/or
b. Shall be liable to be debarred either permanently or for a specified period:
i. by the Examination Section, AIIMS Patna, from any examination or selection held by them; or
ii. Any other penalty as per the discretion of the competent authority or
c. If he/she is already in service under Government to disciplinary action under the appropriate rules.
Provided that no penalty under this section shall be imposed except after:
1. giving the candidate an opportunity of making such representation in writing as he/she may wish to make on that behalf; and
2. taking the representation, if any, submitted by the candidate within the period allowed to him into consideration.
Other Important Points
a. Please fill out the application carefully. It may not be possible to make changes after the submission of the application. Applicants may note that further correspondence will NOT be entertained in this regard.
b. Any amendment/ Rectification/change / Editing is not allowed in Name, Category, Department, and PwBD status once submitted. Any change in address, mobile no, and email ID should be intimated to this office immediately.
c. The competent authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation, and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
d. In case, any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to his/her admission, he/she will be liable to be removed from the institute and any action taken as deemed fit by the competent authority.
e. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
f. Name of the selected candidates will be displayed on the website. No separate individual intimation will be sent. Besides, all information regarding the examination will also be provided through the institute’s website only. The institute will not be responsible in any manner if a candidate fails to visit/ access the website in time. Candidates are requested to regularly visit the institute website i.e. https://aiimspatna.edu.in/for updated information regarding the admission process.
g. The applicants will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, their documents, and photographs. Submission of any fake and/ or suppression/ concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/ cancellation of admission.
h. There is no provision for re-checking/ re-evaluating the answer sheet and no query in this regard will be entertained. However, a facility for online objection management shall be provided for a period of 48 hours after the conclusion of the examination.
i. The decision of the Executive Director of the institute will be final in the matter of selection of candidates for admission to the DM course and no appeal will be entertained in this regard.
j. Selected candidates must join the course on the date stipulated in the letter of selection, failing which the selection/ admission shall stand canceled/withdrawn.
k. The selected candidates will have to submit the original Permanent Registration Certificate at the time of reporting.
l. The selection of Senior Residents (DM) will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to pay the course fee/ join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the institute. The decision of the Medical Board shall be final.
m. Private practice in any form during the course is prohibited. The period of training is strictly full-time and continuous.
n. The rules are subject to change in accordance with the decision of the institute to be taken from time to time.
o. Candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phones, books, notes, loose sheets, any other electronic gadgets, or any other communication device inside the examination premises/hall and any infringement of these instructions will entail debarment from the future examination of AIIMS Patna without prejudice to initiation of criminal proceedings against the candidates.

Note: Any person who is found by the AIIMS Patna to be guilty of colluding with a candidate (s) in committing or abetting the commission of any of the misdeeds listed in Clauses 1 to 14 above renders himself liable to action in terms of the Clause 15.
