New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice for Puducherry domicile candidates seeking admission under the internal quota of JIPMER Puducherry and JIPMER Karaikal through the NEET UG Counselling for the academic year 2026-27.
Through the notice, MCC has clarified that only candidates whose names appear in the official domicile list forwarded by the Puducherry health authorities should register for the internal quota seats. The MCC has begun the registration process for the NEET UG Counselling 2026.
According to the notice, the list of eligible Puducherry domicile candidates was forwarded by the office of the Nodal Officer, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Puducherry, through a communication dated August 4, 2026.
Candidates can verify whether their names are included in the official list before selecting the internal quota of JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal during counselling registration.
The committee has further stated that candidates claiming Puducherry domicile and securing an internal quota seat at JIPMER will have to submit valid documentary proof of their domicile status at the time of physical joining at the allotted institute.
Failure to produce the required domicile documents during reporting will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
