JIPMER notifies round 1 counselling procedure for DM, MCh January 2026 admissions, check complete details

Puducherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released the First Round Information Brochure detailing the admission procedure for DM and MCh courses for the January 2026 academic session.
The counselling process will be conducted for candidates allotted seats through the Institute of National Importance Super-Speciality Entrance Test (INI-SS) examination.
According to the Information brochure issued by the Academic Section, candidates selected in the first round must report for admission between December 30, 2025, and January 6, 2026, except Sunday (January 4, 2026), between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM at the Academic Section, 3rd Floor, JIPMER Academic Centre (JAC).
STEPS FOR REGISTRATION IN NDHM / ABDM (HEALTH-CARE PROFESSIONAL ID REGISTRATION
STEP 1- Click the link to Register 'Professional Healthcare ID'.
STEP 2- Click on 'Create Your Healthcare Professional ID now'.
STEP 3- Click on 'I am a Healthcare Professional'.
STEP 4- Click on 'Generate via Aadhaar' and enter your Aadhaar Number.
STEP 5- Click on 'I agree' & Click on 'Submit'.
STEP 6- You will get 6 digit 'OTP' to your Aadhaar Registered Mobile Number.
STEP 7- Enter the OTP and Click 'Login'.
STEP 8- After logging-in, enter your Mobile Number.
STEP 9- You will get again 6 digit 'OTP' on your mobile number.
STEP 10- Enter OTP & Click on Login.
STEP 11- After logging-in, create your 'User Name' & 'Password' (Password must be 8 character, Upper case, lower case, alphanumeric & Special character).
STEP 12- Select 'I am Healthcare Professional'.
STEP 13- Select 'Modern Medicine'.
STEP 14- Enter your email address & click on 'submit'.
STEP 15- After submitting, you will get an OTP in your email for verification. After verification, your Registration will be completed and you will receive a 14-digit Professional Healthcare ID number. Take a printout of this page and submit the same at the time of document verification.
FORMS TO BE PRINTED AND BROUGHT TO THE VENUE
1 ID card form – all the fields should be filled and in block letters.
2 Joining letter and joining report formats.
3 Hostel application form (if applicable).
4 Honour Code.
5 Bio Data proforma.
6 Salary Processing slip.
SUBMISSION OF AGREEMENT DOCUMENT
A PDF version of the agreement is available on the JIPMER Website. The same will be sent to the student’s registered mail address. They have to purchase a minimum of 10-rupee stamp paper or e-stamp paper in their name and the content emailed to you should be printed on the stamp paper. They should get a Notary Public signature and seal on the agreement. The content of the agreement should not be modified under any circumstances. The signed agreement should be submitted to the admission team on the day of reporting.
ON THE DAY OF REPORTING (FOR OPTION 1 CANDIDATES)
The Candidates should keep the following documents in the order mentioned below and hand them over to the verification desk when required-
1 Downloaded the Hall ticket.
2 Offer letter and Seat Allocation Slip.
3 Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or X Std. Certificate).
4 MBBS Degree Certificate.
5 MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate.
6 MD/MS/DNB Marksheet.
7 Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute, last studied.
8 Photocopy of Aadhar Card / Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority not below the rank of Tahsildar.
9 Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied / Migration Certificate from the University last studied *
10 Permanent Medical Registration Certificate from National Medical Commission (or State Medical Council) #
11 Registration of Additional Medical Qualification.
12 Service candidate should produce NOC/Relieving Order and a certificate granting study leave with or without pay, as the case may be (If applicable).
13 Two passport-size colour photographs identical to the photograph uploaded in the application.
14 1 set of photocopies from S.No 3 to 12.
FOR CANDIDATES WHO CHOOSE OPTION 2
The Candidates should keep the documents in the order mentioned below and handover to the verification desk when required-
1 Hall Ticket for the INISS entrance examination.
2 Offer letter and Seat Allocation Slip.
3 Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or X Std. Certificate).
4 MBBS Degree Certificate.
5 MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate.
6 MD/MS/DNB Marksheet.
7 Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute, last studied.
8 Photocopy of Aadhar Card / Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority not below the rank of Tahsildar.
9 Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied / Migration Certificate from the University last studied.
10 Permanent Medical Registration Certificate fromthe National Medical Commission (or State Medical Council).
11 Registration of Additional Medical Qualification.
