KEA Issues Guidelines For seat cancellation Before NEET PG Mop-Up Round, Details
Karnataka: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has issued guidelines for canceling PG Neet-2021 seats after round 2 but before the mop-up round.
As per KEA, candidates who wish to cancel the seat should submit a duly filled prescribed application form to cancel the seat. In addition, candidates will have to be present in a person with valid id proof at Karnataka examination Authority, Malleshwaram, Bangalore.
The valid id proofs include –
1. Aadhaar Card
2. Pan card
3. Passport
4. Driving License
5. Voter ID
The following documents have to be submitted along with the application form –
If candidates have been allotted seat in round 1 or round 2 and are willing to cancel such seat after round 2 of seat allotment but before the mop-up round, then such candidates should provide -
1. A copy of the admission order was downloaded from the KEA website for choice 1 candidates.
2. A copy of the result sheet was downloaded from the KEA website for choice 2 candidates.
3. The original copy of Fees paid Challan.
4. The original copy of acknowledgment for having submitted the originals to KEA, Bangalore (Pink color Sheet)
If candidates have been allotted the seat only in round 2 and are willing to cancel the seat before the mop-up round, then such candidates should provide -
1. A copy of the result sheet was downloaded from the KEA website.
2. A demand draft drawn in the name of the Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore, towards penalty amount.
3. The original copy of acknowledgment submitted originals to KEA, Bangalore (Pink color Sheet).
Proof of bank details (cancellation application form) for refund.
Candidates need to refer to the Information bulletin Para No.16 clause (2) for the penalty amount. Cancellation of seats will not be made online, i.e., email or any other means.
The candidates allotted a seat needs to get admitted to the colleges by furnishing relevant undertakings within the due date notified in the seat allotment letter or admission order provided by KEA. If the candidates fail to follow the above process, their allotted seat shall automatically stand canceled. As per KEA, the admission shall be provisional and subject to the approval of the Government or apex bodies, or concerned Universities.
Candidates will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 10000 if they cancel a seat in round 1 after admission, one day before the round 2 of counseling. Every candidate, including an in-service candidate, will have to pay a sum of Rs 100000 for a Medical or Dental Degree and Rs. 50000 for Medical or Dental Diploma courses if allotted any clinical seat in round 2 of allotment and fails to join the course before the last date of joining the round 2 of counseling. Such candidates cannot participate in further rounds of counseling or admissions for that academic year.
Suppose candidates cancel the seat after the last date of joining for round 2 and one day before the mop-up round. In that case, they will have to pay a penalty of Rs.5,00,000 for a Medical or Dental Clinical degree and Rs 250000for Medical or Dental Clinical Diploma courses.
If the candidates cancel or surrender seats after the mop-up round, they will have to be made in person only to the Director, Directorate of Medical Education, Karnataka. They will have to pay a penalty of Rs 1500000 in case of Medical Clinical Degree or Diploma Courses and Rs 500000 in case of Dental Degree or Diploma Courses and forfeiture of fees paid before the last admission date. Such candidates cannot participate in further rounds of counseling or admissions for that academic year.
Candidates who have opted for pre-clinical seats like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine and cancel the seat are exempted from payment of the penalty; however, the fees paid shall be forfeited.
If they cancel the seat, candidates who have opted for para clinical seats like Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Community Medicine will have to pay a penalty of Rs 100000 for post graduate degree courses and Rs 50000 for postgraduate diploma courses, and the tuition fees paid shall be forfeited.
