Kerala approves 32 additional PG medical seats ahead of round 3 NEET PG counselling

Kerala: The Government of Kerala has approved an additional seat matrix for admission to PG Medical Degree Courses in the state for the academic year 2025-26.
The approval has been granted through a GO issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the government order, the additional seats apply to Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC), Thalassery, and several self-financing medical colleges across Kerala. The decision follows recommendations from the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, and is in continuation of earlier government orders related to PG Medical admissions for the current academic session.
The newly approved seats will be available from the third phase of PG Medical counselling onwards. These seats span multiple clinical specialities. The approved additional seats have been allocated across various reservation categories, including Unreserved (UR), SC, ST, Ezhava (EZ), Backwards Hindu (BH), Muslim (MU), Latin Catholic & Anglo Indian (LA), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), in accordance with state reservation norms.
In addition, the order also lists minority and NRI quota seats available in select self-financing medical colleges. With this approval, the additional seats will be incorporated into the state PG Medical counselling process conducted by CEE Kerala. Candidates participating in the third phase and subsequent rounds of allotment are advised to review the updated seat matrix carefully while exercising their options.
Meanwhile, according to the Category-wise Seat distribution (excluding In-Service/Minority/NRI quota seats), a total of 32 new seats were added and a total of 16 seats were added for Minority and NRI Quota in Self-Financing Medical Colleges. Below is the detailed Category-wise Seat distribution-
