MBBS Admissions 2023: Check out 30 Top medical Colleges Across West Bengal
West Bengal: MBBS is an undergraduate-level medical course based on the NEET UG entrance exam. The course lasts 5 years, including one year of internship.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted NEET UG this year on 7th May 2023. The scorecard and final results are yet to be announced. It was conducted for 1872341 candidates at different centers located in 499 Cities throughout the country, including 14 cities outside India.
The counseling process in the state will begin after the announcement of the NEET UG result. The seats will be allocated based on the merit of the candidates and the choices filled by them. Those who qualify in NEET UG are only allowed for the counseling process. The counseling process is usually carried out in 4 rounds (round 1, round 2, mop-up, and spot round). Spot round is conducted only if seats remain vacant after the first 3 rounds.
