MCC notifies on commencement of NEET SS 2025 academic session

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has issued a clarification regarding the commencement of the academic session for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET SS) courses for the academic year 2025-26, stating that the session will be considered to have begun from April 10, 2026.
As per the notice issued in this regard, this clarification comes in continuation of an earlier notice. The MCC has specified that the start of the academic session will align with the schedule of SS Counselling 2025, thereby formally recognising April 10, 2026, as the official commencement date.

STEPS FOR ROUND 2 CHOICE FILLING
STEP 1- Visit the official MCC portal and select the "Super Speciality" tab.
STEP 2- Use your NEET SS roll number and password.
STEP 3- New candidates or those who didn't join R1 must pay registration fees.
STEP 4- Select preferred courses and colleges.
STEP 5- Lock choices before the deadline
Also, the MCC announced the addition of new seats in the Round 2 seat matrix of NEET SS Counselling 2025, allowing candidates to exercise fresh choices for the newly available seats.
According to the updated seat matrix, a total of 9 seats have been newly approved in several institutes and specialities. All these seats have been added as newly approved seats communicated by the respective institutes.
