MCC releases schedule of Special Stray Vacancy Round For Vacant MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing AIQ, State Quota Seats, Details here
Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the conduction of a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing Seats of AIQ and State Quota. The detailed schedule has been released for the same.
The counseling process is divided into central and state counseling. While the central counseling process has begun today, and the state counselling begins on 7th Nov. 2023. For both the counseling process, the last date to join is 15th Nov. 2023.
Detailed schedule –
Central counseling -
The process of central counseling begins today. The fresh registration process can be carried out till 5th Nov. 2023 (up to 12:00 Noon of 05.11.2023 as per the server timing). The payment of the fee can be done till 03:00 PM of 5th Nov. 2023 (as per Server timing). The process of choice filling & choice locking can be carried out from 1st Nov. 2023 to 5th Nov. 2023. Choice locking will be available from 04:00 P.M of 05.11.2023 up to 11:59 P.M of 5th Nov. 2023.
The processing of seat allotment will be done from 6th Nov., 2023, to 7th Nov., 2023. On 7th Nov. 2023, the results will be published. The reporting at the allotted college can be done from 8th Nov. 2023 to 15th Nov. 2023 (up to 05:00 PM as per the Server timing).
State counseling –
The state counseling will be carried out from 7th Nov. 2023 to 10th Nov. 2023. The last date of joining will be 15th Nov. 2023. Sharing of joined candidates data by MCC for weeding out by states needs to be done on 7th Nov. 2023.
State Counselling authorities are directed to conduct the seat processing for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of states after weeding out of candidates ALLOTTED in the Special Stray Vacancy Round of MCC.
To prevent the wastage of precious medical seats, MoHFW approached the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Diary No. 45004 of 2023 in W.P (C) No. 76 of 2015 for an extension of the last date of admission of undergraduate courses and to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round.
This Special Stray Vacancy Round will be the last round for undergraduate courses for this academic year, i.e., 2023. The details of the vacant AIQ seats are available on the MCC website.
Details issued –
Candidates who are not holding any seat either in the All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round. However, candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC Round-3 onwards are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate.
The Security Deposit of candidates who do not join their allotted seat in the Special Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited, and such candidates will be debarred from taking the NEET exam for the next year.
The data of allotted candidates of special stray vacancy rounds conducted by MCC will be shared with states, and candidates who are allotted seats by MCC will be debarred from taking admission to state counseling.
