NEET 2024 Application Deadline Extended Till March 16
New Delhi- The deadline for NEET 2024 application submissions has been extended till March 16, 2024, till 10:50 PM. The application fee will have to be deposited by 11.50 pm on the same date.
As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) public notice, while announcing the extension of NEET 2024 registration last date, NTA has said, “Candidates should note that this is a one-time opportunity, so they are advised to use it carefully as no further chance will be given for applying for NEET (UG) - 2024. Please make a note of this and fill out the online Application Form accordingly”.
According to an TOI news report, the testing agency has experienced a record-breaking registration form submission for the first time. Over 25 lakh registration forms have been received, which is 4.2 lakh more than last year.
Over 13 lakh applications have been made by women candidates for about 2 lakh seats, including 1.09 lakh MBBS, 26,000 dental, along with Unani, Homeopathy, Veterinary, Ayurveda and nursing seats.
On March 9, which was the last date for the registration process, a large number of students were registering and had also demanded an extension of the last date as many candidates were not able to link their Aadhar card and mobile link. Some could not get the OTP because their old number is linked to their Aadhaar card.
In response, the NTA notice stated, "In support of the student community, the registration for receiving online Application Forms for NEET (UG) - 2024 is extended”.
Below are some important points that candidates should ensure while filling out the application form for NEET-UG 2024 courses.
STEPS TO APPLY APPLICATION FORM
STEP 1- Visit the official website of NTA i.e.- exams.nta.ac.in
STEP 2- Enter your valid login credentials.
STEP 3- Register and fill out the NEET UG 2024 application form.
STEP 4- Upload the required documents.
STEP 5- Pay the registration fee and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
STEP 6- Download the payment receipt and keep a hard copy for future reference.
APPLICATION FEE
The registration fee is Rs 1,700 for General Category and NRIs, Rs 1,600 for applicants from EWS/OBC-NCL categories and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender categories.

2 Postcard size photograph
3 Signature
4 Finger and thumb impressions of left and right hands
5 PWBD Certificate (if applicable)
6 Citizenship Certificate (for foreign nationals/OCI/PIO/NRI).
If any candidate faces any issue related to Aadhaar authentication or data while filling NEET UG 2024 form then they can log in to the website with their NEET application number and password.
