NEET 2025: MCC Removes 1 Seat from AIIMS New Delhi

New Delhi- Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that 01 seat in the SC (PwD) category of AIIMS, New Delhi, has been removed from the seat matrix of NEET UG 2025 Round-1 Counselling.
This has been done in due compliance with the directions as passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SLA( C) No. 29275 of 2025 in the matter of Kabir Paharia vs National Medical Commission & Ors, the MCC notice read.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that the MCC released the final seat matrix for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling, confirming a total of 2,179 MBBS seats across premier institutions, including 20 AIIMS campuses, JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal, and the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU Varanasi.
The leading institutes in terms of MBBS seat availability under NEET UG 2025 include AIIMS Jodhpur with the highest number at 150 seats, followed by JIPMER Puducherry offering 134 seats. Several other prominent AIIMS institutions - AIIMS Deogarh, Kalyani, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, and Bhopal - each contribute 125 MBBS seats, making them significant contributors in the overall seat matrix.

Meanwhile, MCC recently declared the final result of the NEET UG Round 1 counselling for the academic year 2025. As per the final result, a total of 26608 candidates are qualified in the NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2025. These results are on the seat allotment for MBBS and BDS admissions under 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
