NEET PG 2025: MCC notifies on NRI nationality conversion window for round 3 candidates, check details

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued a detailed notice inviting applications from candidates seeking conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI for Round 3 of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate, NEET PG Counselling for the academic year 2025-26.
As per the official notice issued by the MCC in this regard, candidates claiming NRI status in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in W.P. (C) No. 689/2017 – Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. vs Union of India & Ors., dated August 22, 2017, must submit supporting documents to MCC within the stipulated timeline.
Eligible candidates are required to email all relevant documents from tomorrow, i.e. January 15, 2026, 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM on January 17, 2026. However, emails received before or after the specified time will not be considered. Candidates must ensure that all documents are sent in a single email only and are advised to check the MCC website for further updates regularly
To be considered for category conversion, candidates must submit the following documents-
1 NEET-PG Admit Card and Score Card.
2 Proof of NRI status of parent/relative, including-
i Valid passport.
ii NRI certificate issued by the competent authority (Embassy/Indian Consulate).
iii Visa, Residence Permit, OCI card or PIO card, if applicable.
3 Certificate of relationship between the NRI relative and the candidate, issued by the competent revenue authority through a family tree.
4 Notarised affidavit by the NRI relative confirming sponsorship of the entire course fee and living expenses, supported by NRE bank account passbook or birth certificate.
5 Passport of the candidate or sponsor (optional)
Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the Embassy certificates submitted by sponsors will be verified through the Ministry of External Affairs or respective High Commissions. If found to be fake, the provisional allotment may be cancelled and legal action may be initiated against the candidate.
