NEET PG Admissions: DME Assam issues notices forEWS category candidates, medicos seeking additional marks for serving in remote areas
Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has issued notices for EWS category candidates and candidates seeking additional marks for serving in remote and difficult areas
As per the notice, the candidates who are eligible but failed to apply to DME earlier notice regarding awarding additional marks for serving in remote and difficult areas as per the Medical Colleges of Assam (regulation of admission into postgraduate degree and diploma courses) rules, 2021 on or before the last date of submission of application form, can now apply to the undersigned in prescribed format along with the documents/information mentioned below for awarding additional marks as per the PG Admission Rule. The format is available in the official website of DME.
The application can be submitted by hand on or before 30th June 2023 during office hours. DME will consider no further application after the last date of submission. Applications sent by post/email will not be accepted.
The documents to be submitted along with the application –
1. Completed APPENDIX II with the signature of the concerned authority
2. Copy of the appointment letter showing appointment in remote and difficult areas
3. Charge taking over and handing over reports of the posting of remote and difficult areas
4. Period of service in remote and difficult areas
5. Roll No, Marks & All India Rank NEET PG 2023
Further, DME has informed that all concerned candidates from the General (UR) category who appeared in NEET-PG-2023 and who are otherwise eligible as per "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021", for admission under state quota into 1st year PG courses in the Government Medical Colleges of Assam for the session 2023 and who did not opt for EWS category at the time of applying for NEET-PG-2023, the interested candidates can now apply for EWS category to the office of the undersigned with valid documents and are directed to apply in the prescribed format available in the official website of this Directorate www.dme.assam.gov.in for inclusion into EWS category.
The format is to be downloaded from the website and submitted to the office of the undersigned (2nd floor, Room No. 5) during office hours by hand. Applications sent via Post/ E-mail shall not be accepted. The claim shall be accepted till the date of 1st counselling, the date of which shall be declared in due course of time. Candidates are also requested to collect their receipt of acknowledgement at the time of submission of their forms. The EWS certificate should be for the financial year 2023-24.
However, candidates who have already applied for the EWS category in NEET-PG-2023 under the EWS category need not apply here.
