NEET PG: BFUHS postpones round 2 counselling, extends free exit for round 1 seats

Punjab: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has announced an extension of the deadline for surrendering seats with free exit for candidates who joined seats in the first round of Punjab State National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling for the academic year 2025.
According to the official notice issued by the university in this regard, the decision follows the revised schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the second round of All India Quota (AIQ) PG counselling. In line with this update, BFUHS has now extended the last date for seat surrender with free exit to December 17, 2025, up to 5:00 PM.
This extension allows Round-1 joined candidates in Punjab to exit their allotted seats without forfeiture of the security deposit, providing additional flexibility ahead of the upcoming counselling rounds.
Meanwhile, the remaining schedule for the Punjab State second round of NEET PG 2025 counselling has been postponed, and revised dates will be notified separately.
"This is for the information that MCC has revised the schedule for 2nd round AIQ PG Counselling under NEET PG 2025, therefore, in consonance with the revised schedule of MCC, the date of surrender of seats with free exit by the 1st round Punjab State joined candidates under NEET PG-2025 is hereby extended upto 17.12.2025 by 05.00 PM. The rest of the schedule of Punjab State 2nd round counselling is also postponed and will be intimated later on," stated the notice.
