NEET PG Counselling: MCC notifies on seat matrix changes, choice filling open till November 21st
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced major updates to the Round-1 seat matrix for NEET PG 2025 Counselling, including the addition and withdrawal of several postgraduate seats. Meanwhile, the choice filling is open till tomorrow i.e. November 21st 2025.
According to the official notice issued by the MCC in this regard, 239 new PG seats sanctioned by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in Deemed Universities have been added to the Round-1 seat matrix. While 235 DNB seats (186 in government institutes and 49 in private institutes) have been withdrawn following intimation from the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The revision has been made in the larger interest of candidates, ensuring accuracy in the counselling process. Due to these changes, the roster for government DNB institutes has been recast, while the All India Quota (AIQ) MD/MS seat matrix remains unchanged.
MCC further clarified that the remaining PG seats sanctioned by NMC for MD/MS and Deemed University programs will be added in Round-2 of PG Counselling 2025. Therefore, in view of this, the schedule of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2025 is given below.
