NEET PG: MP DME to end stray vacancy round choice filling, check remaining vacancies

Madhya Pradesh: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, is going to close the choice filling window for the Stray Vacancy Round of MP State NEET MD and MS Counselling 2025-26 today.

As per the revised schedule for the Stray Vacancy Round of MP State NEET MD/MS Counselling 2025-26, eligible candidates can submit online applications and fill their choices till today, i.e. February 24, 2026 upto 11.59PM.

Following this, candidates must mark online attendance in person at the allotted institute from tomorrow i.e February 25 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

Invitation for online application (choice-filling) by eligible candidates on the portal against vacancies.

College and Subject-wise merit list of applicants (Real Time Merit on DME Portal). 10 times the number of vacancies in the subject shall be available on the portal.

23 to 24 February 2026 (11:59 PM)

Online attendance at the institute by the candidates (Candidate will have to come in person to the institute for logging attendance.

From 25 to 26 February 2026 (10:30 AM to 06:00 PM).

4

Admission (As per the merit of the candidates who marked online attendance).

27 and 28 February 2026 (09:30 AM to 6:15 PM)

Along with this, the MPDME has also issued an official Advisory, outlining detailed instructions for candidates participating in the Stray Vacancy Round of MP State NEET PG (MD/MS) Counselling 2025-26.

The advisory provides step-by-step guidelines regarding choice filling, online attendance, document submission, and admission procedures for eligible candidates. Below is the detailed advisory-

1 Eligible candidates can submit their choices for various subjects/colleges through the Choice Filling link from their Candidate login within the timeframe indicated in the timetable. Candidates will be able to submit choice filling against vacant seats in more than one available college.

2 Real-time choice field merit of the applied candidates will be available on the portal, subject-wise and college-wise.

3 Candidates seeking admission to a college based on their choice field and real-time merit for various colleges/subjects must personally attend the institution within the timeframe indicated in the timetable and register their attendance using the online attendance module. A candidate will be eligible to log online attendance for only one subject in a college.

4 After online attendance of the applied candidates, admission will be given to the eligible candidate based on merit of online attendance.

5 Eligible candidates must submit the required original documents for admission. Candidates who are unable to submit their Seat Living Bond and Rural Service Bond at the time of admission due to time constraints must submit an affidavit stating that they will submit both bonds to the admitting college within two days, or their admission will be cancelled.

6 Candidates can deposit their college fees via multicity check, DD, or online. The full prescribed first-year college fee must be deposited at the time of admission. Amounts deposited online in previous stages will be refunded after counselling.

7 Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round of NEET PG 2025 All India Counselling will be ineligible for the stray vacancy round of Madhya Pradesh State Level NEET PG 2025.

Moreover, the MPDE has also released the detailed list of remaining vacancies for MD/MS courses in both Government and Private Medical Colleges for the Stray Vacancy Round of MP State NEET PG Counselling 2025-26.

According to the remaining vacancies list, a total of 413 seats are vacant for the stray vacancy round. Of these, a total of 80 seats are vacant in Government Medical Collegs and a total of 333 seats are vacant in Private Medical Colleges. The vacancy list includes both Clinical and Non-Clinical disciplines across multiple institutions in the state.

The notification outlines remaining MD/MS seats in several government medical colleges. The vacant seats span a wide range of specialities. The seat matrix for private institutions shows substantial availability across major colleges. Below is the detailed remaining vacancies list-
