NEET SS Counselling: MCC allows round 1 resigned candidates to participate in round 2, check details here!
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has clarified that candidates resigning from their Round 1 seats of the NEET SS Counselling for the academic year 2025 will remain eligible to participate in Round 2 without paying the registration fee and security deposit again.
The resignation window will remain open from 10:00 AM on August 6 to 4:00 PM on August 7, 2026.
According to the notice issued by the MCC in this regard, In view of Resignation from Round-1 seat and participation in Round-2 of SS Counselling 2025, candidates are advised to note the following points:
Candidates can resign their Round-1 seats from 10:00 A.M. of 06/08/2026 up to 4:00 P.M. of 07/08/2026.
Candidates who RESIGN their Round-1 seat in the above stipulated time will also be eligible to participate in Round-2 without paying Registration Fees and Security Deposit again.
Candidates who resigned earlier will also be eligible to participate in Round-2 without paying Registration Fees and Security Deposit again.
All the resigned candidates of Round-1 can directly participate in Round-2 and exercise Choice Filling. Any resignation done earlier or till 04:00 P.M of 07.08.2026 will be without Forfeiture of Security Deposit.
The clarification offers relief to candidates wishing to reconsider their Round 1 allotment and compete for another seat during the second round of NEET SS Counselling 2025.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the MCC announced the withdrawal of 8 DNB Super Speciality seats from the seat matrix of Round 2 of the NEET SS Counselling 2025.
The seats had been removed following requests received from five participating institutes across Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Gujarat and Delhi.
