NTA extends NEET 2026 refund deadline to July 31 as only 52 percent candidates submitted bank details

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the process of refunding the examination fee to the bank accounts provided by the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) candidates 2026, in which a total of 1,146,401 candidates submitted their bank account details, representing only 52 per cent of the candidates.
To ensure that all eligible candidates receive their refunds, the agency has extended the deadline for submitting bank account details to 11:50 PM on July 31, 2026. Previously, the deadline for providing bank details was July 14.
Therefore, candidates who have not yet updated their bank details are advised to do so within the extended timeframe to facilitate the processing of their refunds.
In this regard, NTA has also issued a public notice, stating that “As on 14th July 2026, only 11,46,401 candidates have submitted their bank account details, and NTA has started the process of refund of examination fees into the Bank accounts as submitted by the candidates”.
“In order to enable all candidates to get their refund, those candidates who have not yet updated their Bank account details may update their Bank account details by 31 July 2026 (11:50 Р.М.)”, the notice further added.

Medical Dialogues had recently reported that NTA had uploaded the Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses for the NEET UG 2026 exam on its official website.
Therefore, to facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet has been sent to the registered e- mail address given by the candidates at the time of registration of NEET (UG)-2026. Candidates are being allowed to make an online response challenge till July 15, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
