NTA invites applications for AIAPGET 2026, PG AYUSH entrance exam on August 22

New Delhi: For the Academic Session 2026-27, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is inviting online applications for the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Examination, AIAPGET 2026.
The NTA has been conducting AIAPGET since 2019, on behalf of the Ministry of Ayush/NCISM/NCH with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
The examination will serve as the common entrance test for admission to All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota seats of MD/MS programmes in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy offered by all ASU & H Colleges, Institutions, Universities and Deemed Universities across India.
The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The duration of the examination will be 120 minutes, comprising 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying a maximum of 480 marks. The examination will be conducted in approximately 122 cities across the country.
In this regard, NTA has issued a public notice detailing the complete schedule and other important details regarding the AIAPGET 2026 examination.
Therefore, according to the schedule mentioned in the notice, the online registration process began on July 10, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications till August 10, 2026, up to 9:00 PM. The last date for payment of the application fee is August 10, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
A correction window will remain open from August 12 to August 14, 2026, allowing applicants to rectify errors in their submitted forms. The examination city intimation slip will be released in the third week of July 2026, while admit cards are expected in the last week of July 2026. The results will be declared tentatively by the third week of August 2026. Below is the complete schedule-

Candidates are required to submit the Application Form only through the online mode by visiting the official website of NTA. Mere submission of the Application Form or appearance in AIAPGET–2026 does not confer any right to admission.
Before submitting the Application Form, candidates are advised to carefully read the Information Bulletin and ensure that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions, including educational qualifications, completion of internship, registration requirements, reservation criteria and other applicable provisions.
The eligibility shall be verified by the concerned counselling/admitting authority at the appropriate stage.
Meanwhile, the examination fee is to be paid only through the prescribed online payment modes. Candidates are advised to download and retain the Confirmation Page and proof of fee payment for future reference. Only one Application Form shall be accepted from a candidate.
Submission of multiple Application Forms may lead to rejection of candidature. Candidates are also advised to keep the following points in mind while applying-
1 Ensure that the uploaded photograph, live photograph and signature are clear and as per the prescribed specifications.
2 Carefully select the preferred Examination Cities while filling the Application Form, as changes may not be permitted after the Correction Window.
3 Keep a valid e-mail address and mobile number active throughout the admission process for receiving important communications from NTA.
4 Candidates are advised to submit the Application Form well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute technical issues or heavy traffic on the website.
Moreover, NTA, through a notice, also informed regarding the strengthening of the security, transparency and integrity of the examination process, in which the following initiatives have been introduced in AIAPGET–2026-
1 AADHAAR-BASED AUTHENTICATION- Candidates are encouraged to authenticate themselves through Aadhaar while submitting the Application Form. They are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details, including photograph and demographic information, are updated as per UIDAI records. NTA reserves the right to verify the identity and credentials of the candidate at any stage of the admission process.
2 LIVE PHOTOGRAPH CAPTURE- In addition to uploading a passport-size photograph, candidates will also be required to capture a live photograph during submission of the Application Form. The live photograph shall also appear on the Admit Card and Score Card. Candidates should ensure proper lighting, a plain light-coloured background and clear visibility of the face (including ears, without mask). Where webcam support is unavailable, the system will facilitate capture through a mobile device using a QR Code.
3 UDID-BASED VERIFICATION FOR PwD/PwBD CANDIDATES- Candidates claiming reservation under the PwD/PwBD category and possessing a Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card shall upload the same. The details shall be verified through the portal of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Candidates not possessing a UDID Card shall upload a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, which may also be verified from the issuing authority.
