NTA opens bank account correction window for NEET 2026 fee refunds

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a Bank Account Re-confirmation/correction Window for candidates eligible for a refund of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee for the test held on May 3, 2026.
NEET 2026 exam, held in May, was cancelled after paper leak allegations, and a re-exam was announced, which is now scheduled for June 21, 2026. The admit cards have been released recently on NTA's official website.
Refund:
The facility has been introduced after discrepancies were found in the bank details submitted by some candidates and will allow them to verify, update, or correct their account information through an OTP-based two-factor authentication process to ensure the refund amount is credited to the correct beneficiary.
"As candidates are aware, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is processing the refund of examination fee for NEET (UG) 2026. For this purpose, candidates were earlier provided an opportunity to furnish their bank account details through the registration portal. During scrutiny of the bank account details received, it has been observed that some candidates have furnished incomplete or incorrect particulars, including invalid account numbers and other discrepancies. NTА has also received representations from candidates seeking an opportunity to verify and rectify their bank account details to facilitate successful credit of the refund amount," the notice said.
