NTA to close NEET 2026 registration window on March 8

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to close the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) application window for the academic year 2026 on March 8.
Therefore, candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical programmes can register on the official NEET NTA website.
The NEET UG exam 2026 will be held in a single shift on May 3. The pen-and-paper NEET UG 2026 exam will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The NEET UG 2026 exam pattern will include questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The exam will carry a total of 360 marks and 180 questions.
STEPS TO REGISTER
STEP 1- Open the official website
STEP 2- Click on the New Registration.
STEP 3- Read the instructions carefully and generate login credentials.
STEP 4- Log in using the application number and password.
STEP 5- Fill in personal information, academic details, and exam city preferences.
STEP 6- Upload the required documents as per the instructions.
STEP 7- Pay the application fee online and submit the NEET UG 2026 application form.
Meanwhile, as per the information bulletin released by the NTA in this regard on its official website, the general category candidates will have to pay ₹1,700, while candidates from the General-Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backwards Classes (OBC)-Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) categories have to pay ₹1,600 and candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and third gender categories have to pay Rs 1,000 as the registration fee. However, candidates of all categories from outside India need to pay Rs 9500/-.
GENERAL DOCUMENTS
Candidates should have to upload the following documents along with their NEET UG 2026 application form-
1 Scanned Photograph of the candidate.
2 Scanned Signature of the candidate.
3 Thumb impression.
4 Valid mobile number.
5 Class 10, 12 marks, percentage.
6 Government ID proof.
7 Citizenship certificate.
8 Embassy certificate.
