OJEE notifies on spot counselling for MBBS, BDS admissions 2023, details

OJEE notifies on spot counselling for MBBS, BDS admissions 2023, details

Odisha: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) has released the schedule for spot counselling for admission into MBBS and BDS courses.

The Spot Counselling for admission to vacant seats of MBBS/BDS courses for the academic session 2023-24 is scheduled to be held at OJEE CELL, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, on 26.09.2023 and 27.09.2023.

Seats vacant –

A total of 154 seats are vacant for spot counseling. UR has 102 seats, EWS has 1 seat, SC has 12 seats, ST has 24 seats, and NRI has 15 seats vacant. The college-wise detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.

Eligibility –

All state merit-listed MBBS/BDS candidates are eligible to participate in the Spot Round Counselling. However, candidates who have been admitted to any Institute through All India Counselling by MCC at the end of the Mop-Up Round or through OJEE Counselling at the end of 3rd Round (including upgradation), are not eligible to participate in the OJEE Spot Counselling (As per relevant orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court).

All must go through the modalities and instructions for MBBS/BDS counseling 2023 available on the OJEE website.

Admission will be done strictly as per merit. The physical presence of the candidate is a must for participating in the spot counseling, and no authorization will be entertained. Candidates willing to participate in this round of counseling should report at the counseling hall at the scheduled time as per his/her category/rank. Only one person (Guardian) will be allowed with the candidate to the counseling hall.

Candidates have to put their signatures on an attendance sheet at the sitting hall. Candidates coming after the scheduled time will be allotted a seat/college from the balance of seats available at that point in time, taking merit into consideration. Provisional Admission will be done at the venue of spot counseling.

The candidates must come with all original and photocopies of testimonials like –

1. ID proof

2. HS / Birth certificate

3. +2 Mark Sheet

4. +2 Pass Certificate

5. other category certificates if applicable

6. Residential/Nativity Certificate (Domicile),

7. ODISHA JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (OJEE) - 2023 MODALITIES FOR SPOT COUNSELING OF MBBS/BDS COURSES CLC/Transfer Certificate etc., along with admission fees in the shape of Bank Draft drawn in favor of “OJEE”, payable at Bhubaneswar, failing which no admission will be made and the seat will be allotted to next candidate in merit.

8. NRI Candidates to carry all relevant original documents

Candidates who take admission in any category in this round, will not be allowed for any further change. Participation in sport counseling does not ensure admission. Seats are allotted only on merit and availability of vacancy. Once all the vacant seats are filled up, counseling will be declared closed.

If any seats remain vacant after the Spot Round, then a 2nd Spot Round of Counselling shall be conducted, the schedule for which will be notified later. However, candidates who have already taken admission in any of the rounds, including the 1st Spot Round, will not be eligible to participate in further Spot Round Spot Counselling, if scheduled. Participation in sport counseling does not ensure admission. Seats will be allotted only on merit and availability of vacancies. Once all the vacant seats are filled up, counseling will be declared closed.

FEES FOR MBBS COURSE (per annum) –

1. Govt. Institutions: Rs. 37,950/- per annum

2. Private Institutions (Hi-tech MCH, Bhubaneswar): Rs. 6,50,000/- per annum

3. Private Institutions (Hi-tech MCH, Rourkela): Rs. 5,50,000/- per annum

4. DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences & Hospital - Rs.6,50,000/- per annum

FEES FOR BDS COURSE (per annum) -

1. Govt. Institutions: Rs. 37,950/- per annum

2. Private Institutions (Hi-tech MCH): Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum

NRI Candidates to pay Four Times the fee of Private Institutions.

In case of any revision of the fee structure as per government decisions, the same shall automatically be applicable.
