PG medical admissions 2025 commence in Bihar, check complete schedule, seats, guidelines for candidates

Bihar: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has started the online registration and application process for the Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC) 2025 for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses in government and private medical colleges across the state.

As per the official notice, the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025 qualified candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the first year of postgraduate medical degree and diploma programmes offered by the state’s medical institutions. The counselling will cover postgraduate seats in major government medical colleges including Patna Medical College, Nalanda Medical College, Darbhanga Medical College, IGIMS Patna, SKMC Muzaffarpur, JLNM Bhagalpur, and GMC Bettiah, among others.

Private institutions like Katihar Medical College, MGM Medical College Kishanganj, Narayan Medical College Sasaram, and others are also part of the process. Candidates must visit the official website of BCECEB and complete the registration through the PGMAC-2025 online portal. The process involves six major steps—registration, filling of personal and academic details, uploading documents, payment of fees, choice filling and locking, and downloading confirmation and choice slips.

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that while filling the application form, candidates are required to add education qualification and if they claimed reservation for medical officer employed in remote or difficult area, “candidates will have to enter the remote experience details regarding serving as medical officer in remote or difficult areas as well as have to upload their works experience certificate issued by authorised concerned authority”.

APPLICATION FEE AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

1 Counselling Fee: ₹2,200 for all categories (non-refundable).

2 Security Deposit-

i Government colleges – ₹25,000 (UR/EWS) / ₹12,500 (SC/ST/EBC/BC).

ii Private colleges – ₹2,00,000 (all categories).

iii Both Govt. & Pvt. options – ₹2,00,000 (all categories).

Payment must be made online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Candidates should ensure successful fee submission before the deadline, as incomplete payments will lead to disqualification.

BIHAR NEET PG 2025 COUNSELLING- FEE DETAILS

Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,200 and an additional security deposit, which is refundable depending on the type of medical college chosen for admission. After paying the fee, candidates must fill in their choices of courses and colleges in order of preference. Below is the detailed fee structure-

All the certificates included in the list given below, if applicable, must be submitted in original by every candidate at the time of his / her counselling / Document Verification on the scheduled date-

1 Residential Certificate.

2 Caste Certificate.

3 Certificate for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

4 College leaving certificate.

5 Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate.

6 MBBS Passing Certificate.

7 Mark sheets of MBBS (I, II & III Parts).

8 No objection certificate from employer.

9 Medical Registration Certificate.

10 Matric Certificate.

11 Admit Card of NEET(PG).

12 Aadhar Card.

13 Certificate of rendering service in Rural / Difficult areas of Bihar as Medical officer.

14 Certificate issued by proper authority for 'In-service Doctor working on regular basis in Govt. of Bihar' (If required).

15 DQ Certificate [As per para-7(B) of the prospectus] (If required).

16 Rank Card of PGMAC-2025.

17 Hard Copy of previously filled application form (Confirmation Page) of PGMAC-2025.

18 The Check Slip 2 copy as downloded alongwith Biometric Identification Report Form 1 (one) copy.

19 Six (6) Photograph same as uploaded on application form of PGMAC-2025.

20 Any other certificates in suppport of eligibility as required.

CHOICE FILLING

After successfull payment of Counselling Fee & Security Deposit candidate have to fill Choices of course and Institution / Colleges in order of preference. Candidate will have to click on "Save Choices" link and after then click on "Choice Locking" link to lock their filled up choices before scheduled last date and time. If candidate lock their choices and again want to edit their filled up choices, then candidate may modify their choices by clicking "Unlock Choices" link by authentication through their password and OTP sent on their registered Mobile No. / Email ID. Candidates are advised to Lock their filled up choices before scheduled last date and time so that they could download or print their filled up and submitted choices. If candidate click on "Save Choices" link but does not lock their filled up choices within scheduled last date and time, their choices will get automatically locked after last date and time of choice filling. Candidate will be allowed to download or take a print of their filled up choices after locking of choices only.

EDITING/CORRECTION OF APPLICATION FORM DATA

1 The above-mentioned editing / rectification / correction opportunity will be available for only those candidates, who have successfully filled their online application form and made the payment successfully within due date.

2 After successful submission of edited Application Form and Filling/Editing of Choices, candidate will have to lock their choices so that they could download or print their filled-up choices.

3 If any candidate locked their filled-up choices and after then wants to Edit / Correct Application Form data, then first of all he / she has to unlock their choices. After Un-Locking of Choices, he / she will click on the link “Edit your Online Filled Application Form”.

4 For making rectification / correction / editing in online submitted application, the candidate will have to login to his / her account using their Roll No. & Password provided during the time of Registration. After successful login candidate will click on the link “Edit your Online Filled Application Form”. Candidate will have to give their consent to Edit / Correct their previous filled Application Form data which will be authenticated through their password and OTP sent on their registered Mobile No. / Email ID.
