Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME), Uttar Pradesh, has issued an important notice regarding resignation of candidates admitted through the first and second rounds of UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling for the academic year 2025.
The counselling body has allowed such candidates to resign from their allotted MD, MS, Diploma and DNB seats within a specified deadline.
As per the notice, candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 or Round 2 and wish to surrender their admission to participate in further counselling rounds must submit their resignation on or before January 4, 2026, up to 11:00 AM.
The notice clearly states that resignation from the allotted seat must be done only at the same nodal centre where the candidate completed the admission process. The resignation has to be submitted in person, and the candidate must complete all related formalities at the nodal centre.
However, the resignations submitted through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates failing to complete the resignation process within the prescribed timeline will be considered to have retained their seats and will not be eligible for upgradation in the subsequent counselling round.
