TN Health issues notice for Candidates seeking MBBS, BDS admissions Under 7.5 percent Preferential Quota, details
Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has issued a notification related to the candidates who wish to apply for MBBS / BDS courses for the academic year 2023-2024 session under a 7.5% preferential quota.
As per the communication received from the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, the current and previous academic year students (students who have passed class 12th in 2022-2023 and 2021-2022) who apply under 7.5% Preferential Quota for Government School students need not attach Bonafide Certificate. Their eligibility will be checked with the School Education Department through EMIS Data.
Students who passed class 12th in the previous academic year (Prior to 2021 – 2022) must get Bonafide Certificate from the Chief Educational Officer.
The Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that TN Health had invited online applications for admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses in Government Medical / Dental Colleges, Government Quota Seats in Self Financing Medical / Dental Colleges, ESIC Medical College, K.K.Nagar, Chennai Affiliated to the Tamil Nadu DR.M.G.R. Medical University 2023-2024 session. The last date to apply is 10.07.2023 up to 5:00 PM.
The candidates must go to the website http://www.tnmedialselection.org/ and click on the link “Apply Online for MBBS_BDS application 2023-2024. There will be a separate application form for Government and Management Quota. They should submit their filled-in online application form after uploading the details in the required fields.
The cost of the application form is Rs.500 (non-refundable) and should be paid through the online Bank payment portal on the websites. The candidates applying under the Special category for Eminent Sports Persons and Children of Ex-Sevicemen should pay an additional fee of Rs.100 (non-refundable) for each special category via the Bank payment portal. All Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of the application.
