UP DGME Extends Resignation Deadline for NEET Round 1 Counselling 2024 candidates
Uttar Pradesh- The Director General of Medical Education (DGME), Uttar Pradesh through a notice has issued an important information regarding the resignation of candidates admitted through the 1st round of counselling under the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) for the academic year 2024.
Through the notice, UPDGME has informed all the candidates who participated in NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2024 that the date for submission of resignation by the candidates admitted in the 1st round under UP NEET UG has now been extended.
As per the notice, now the date for submission of resignation by the candidates admitted in the 1st round under UP NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) courses 2024 has been extended upto 21st September 2024 at 11:00 AM. Earlier the last date for submitting the resignation was fixed as September 13, 2024, by 5 pm.
The NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2024 began on August 20, 2024, at 11:00 am and ended on September 5, 2024. Along with this, UPDGME released the tentative seat matrix of NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2024, there were a total of 12,100 MBBS and BDS seats vacant across 103 medical and dental colleges.
Meanwhile, currently the NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2024 is going on which is going to end soon. As per the UPDGME NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule, the NEET UG 2024 counselling process began on September 09, 2024, at 11:00 am and will end on September 25, 2024.
The Department of Medical Education plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centres from peripheral hospitals.
