JIPMER Extends Application Deadline for E Mehalingam Memorial, Dr Shyam Sharma Memorial Awards
Puducherry- Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has extended the last date for receipt of applications from (MD/MS/PhD) students for receiving the E Mahalingam Memoria Award and Dr Shyam Sharma Memorial Award.
On 8th March 2025, JIPMER is going to celebrate its 10th Research Day celebration where the MD, MS and PhD students will be facilitated with the E Mahalingam Memoria Award and Dr Shyam Sharma Memorial Award. In this regard, applications were invited from students for applying for the award and the last date for which was fixed as 31st December. However, as per the circular in this regard, now the last date for receipt of applications is extended and the students can apply till 07th January 2025.
Applications are invited from (MD/MS/PhD) students for the E. Mehlingam Memorial Award and Dr. Shyam Sharma Memorial Award. Whereas, E. Mehlingam Memorial Award will be given for the best scientific paper presentation by a PhD student and Dr. Shyam Sharma Memorial Award will be given for the best MD/MS dissertation.
For the E Mehalingam Memorial Award, students need to submit 1 hard copy of the manuscript and a soft copy to the Dean Research office through email. A cover letter with the manuscript's title and the applicant's contact details (including phone number) should be submitted on or before 07th January 2025. Late submissions will not be considered. The applications will be judged based on the manuscript and oral presentation during the research day.
Meanwhile, for the Dr Shyam Sharma Memorial Award, students need to submit 1 hard copy of the completed dissertation (including the cover and signature pages), along with a soft copy through email to the Dean Research office on or before or before 07th January 2025. The MD/MS students who joined in the July 2021 and January 2022 sessions are eligible to apply for the award.
