JIPMER notifies on Reporting Process For Selected DM, MCh Candidates, Details
Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) announced that the reporting process of the selected candidates for the DM/MCh Course started yesterday (7th June 2022) and will continue till 13th June 2022.
The candidates will have to report by 10:00 am at Academic Section, Third floor, JIPMER Academic Centre (JAC). Reporting candidates should make a note that on Sunday (12th June 2022), no reporting will happen, and no medical examination will be held on that day.
The candidates who are willing to leave the seat at any stage after document verification & submission but before getting the admission order will have to pay a penalty of Rs 300000. A final vaccination certificate is compulsory as per the order of the Director of Health and Family Welfare Services, UT of Puducherry. This includes JIPMER Institute candidates.
For candidates who chose option 1 in the first counselling and accepted the seat, the admission process will span over a minimum of 2 working days. Before reaching the venue for reporting, the candidates need to fill out the e-form by clicking the link The name should be filled as given in the MBBS degree certificate.
The candidates will have to complete the fee payment procedure through the SBI Collect payment portal for JIPMER at before they reach the venue. They need to choose the academic fee – MCh DM MD MS PDF option in the dropdown menu. Refer to the prospectus for the correct split-up of fees (as given on page 9 of prospectus B for JIPMER). The fee, once paid, cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Bring a hard copy of the fee payment receipt on the day of reporting.
Forms to be printed, filled, and brought to the venue -
1. ID card form – all the fields should be filled and in block letters (Annexure 1).
2. Biodata forms (Annexure 2).
3. Joining letter and joining report formats (Annexure 3).
4. Hostel application form (if applicable) (Annexure 4).
5. Photocopy of bank passbook, Aadhaar card, and PAN card (original should be brought during admission for verification).
The following process will be followed at the time of reporting -
Day 1 of reporting -
The candidates will have to provide a vaccination certificate before entering the hall. Then provide the application sequence number (of e-form given above) to the team and be seated. The candidates will be called at certificate verification desks inside the hall.
The following details have to be produced –
1. Admission fee receipt.
2. All required documents in original. (List of certificates is mentioned in the prospectus Part B of JIPMER on page number 6).
3. 1 set of photocopies of the original certificates.
4. 4 passport-size photographs.
5. Biodata forms.
The admission team will retain these documents and photographs. The bank passbook, Aadhaar card, and PAN card in original will be verified and returned to the candidate. The photocopies of the three documents will be retained.
After successful certificate verification, the candidates will be given a form for medical examination by the team. The place of the medical examination will be informed on the day of reporting. The duly signed medical examination report should be submitted to the admission team.
Day 2 of reporting –
The candidates will receive a resident agreement form. They have to fill it as per the instructions given by JIPMER authorities at the time of document verification and submit it to the authorities after filling it. Biometric capture (fingerprint impression) will be obtained by Mr. Praburaj inside the academic section office, and instructions regarding this will be given at the time of document verification.
Bonafide certificate (certifying that the institute retains the original documents) and admission order will be issued to the candidates after completing the above steps.
The candidates will have to submit the following documents –
1. Hostel application form (if needed).
2. ID card form. The form has a field for the residential address (in Puducherry). The candidates may fill the field either after allotment of a hostel room or after renting an accommodation outside the campus and submit this form.
