Puducherry Medical colleges could be opened next month
Puducherry: Puducherry Lt. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday suggested that Medical Colleges in Puducherry could be opened next month as the Coronavirus Disease (COVID 19) infection came down considerably here.
Speaking after inaugurating a room for breastfeeding for lactating mothers at the Sithananda Temple here ,she said that all the medical college students were vaccinated . After assessing the situation, other educational institutions could be opened in a phased manner, she added.

She said temples were opened to ensure peace of mind to the faithful. However, since we are not totally free from Covid,those coming to the temples should take all preventive measures and follow Covid appropriate behavior. In the Covid management meeting on Thursday, officials informed that Covid is under control in the union territory.
People of Puducherry got awareness now, but still all precautionary measures need to be taken, she said adding that a scientific research will be conducted on the present Covid deaths.
