Shocking hygiene lapse at LLRM medical college as dog seen licking plates in hostel mess

Meerut: A shocking lapse in basic hygiene has come to light from LLRM Medical College in Meerut after a video of a stray dog licking food plates inside the girls' hostel mess went viral on social media.
The purported video shared by a doctor on 'X' shows a dog standing on the counter and licking the plates that are used daily by undergraduate (UG) female students and doctors. According to the doctor's post, these same plates were to be used again by the students for breakfast the next morning.
The video was captioned: “At LLRM Medical College, Meerut, a shocking lapse in basic hygiene has come to light. The footage shows stray dogs freely licking the very plates used by UG female students and doctors in the girls’ hostel mess. And tomorrow morning, the same plates will be used by the girls for their breakfast!!"

The incident has raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety standards maintained in the hostel mess.
As per New X world's social media post, the students have strongly objected to the unhygienic conditions and have demanded immediate action from the college administration to ensure proper hygiene and prevent such lapses in the future.
One user commented: “These pictures of LLRM Medical College Meerut are shameful. Where our future doctors are studying, they are not even getting basic human cleanliness, and dogs are licking the plates in their mess! Ensuring the safety and hygiene of the female students is the first responsibility of the government and the college administration!"
Another said, “If something happens to a student tomorrow, if their health deteriorates, then who will be held responsible?"
“This is the negligence of the medical college administration, the consequence of which the children have to suffer," someone else pointed out.
“This is the scenario in nearly all hostels," a person said
Medical Dialogues had previously reported that two doctors were suspended after a viral video showed a junior resident doctor from the orthopaedics department asleep on a chair with his leg propped up on a nearby table in front of an air conditioner, while a critically injured accident victim lay bleeding and unattended on a bed in front of him for hours, eventually passing away.
The junior doctor was reportedly on duty when the patient was admitted to the hospital's emergency ward. The video of the incident showed that the patient was accompanied by around seven attendants. He was lying on a bed as the attendants waited and pleaded helplessly for the doctor to wake up and attend to him.
A woman carrying a child in her arms was seen in the video trying to wake the sleeping doctor. She stood beside him, visibly confused and unsure of what to do next. Despite her efforts, the doctor remained asleep, and the critically injured patient ultimately bled to death.
