UP Medical College bags NMC nod for Third Batch of MBBS Students
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given green signal for the third batch of MBBS students.
Ayodhya: The Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College in Ayodhya is all set to welcome its third batch of MBBS students this year. The green signal for the same was given by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to the medical college on Friday, 20th August 2021.
The Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College started offering the UG medical, MBBS course in 2019 with a batch of 100 students. With the NMC clearance for the next batch of students in 2020, there were 200 MBBS students in the college. The medical college administration sought NMC approval for the third batch of MBBS students, which it received two days ago, reports Amar Ujala.
The National Medical Commission, being an apex regulatory body for medical institutes across the country, conducts regular inspections to assure if these institutes have adequate infrastructural, organizational as well as academic facilities to impart medical education to future medical professionals.
Speaking to Amar Ujala, Dr Vijay Kumar, principal of the Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College, preparations for conducting the third batch of classes are almost complete. Housing is also adequate. Preparations for laboratories have been made keeping in view the norms. Classes will be conducted on allotment of MBBS students after the results are declared from NEET, the entrance test for the MBBS course. The medical college will function as per COVID protocol, he added.
Founded in the year 2018, the Rajashri Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College (RDASMC) is located in Ayodhya in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. The Uttar Pradesh Medical Education Department runs the college. This medical institution is affiliated with the renowned King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
