MUHS defers conduct of Internal Assessment Exams of 1st MBBS Batch 2019
Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has informed about the conduction of Internal Assessment Examinations of First MBBS (Batch admitted in 2019).
In the notice issued by the MUHS controller of Exams, Dr Pathak, the Deans and principals at MUHS affiliated medical colleges have been notified about the Conduction of Internal Assessment Examinations of First MBBS (Batch admitted in 2019) in view of the advisory released by the MCI earlier on MBBS exams.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that after much deliberation with various medical colleges and health universities of all states, the apex medical regulator, Medical Council of India Board of Governors (MCI BOG) had clearly upheld the need for MBBS exams stating that no batch should be permitted to move to the next level of the MBBS course without at examination.
The MCI, however at the same time, did take note of the delay that maybe there in the conduct of the certain MBBS University exams especially noting that for 2nd and 3rd ( Part 1) MBBS students, the university exams may have to be delayed by two to three months beyond their scheduled dates.

Now, the conduct of Internal Assessment Examinations of First MBBS (Batch admitted in 2019) have been postponed. The authority has informed the medical colleges, "As per previous instructions for 2019 admitted First MBBS batch, the last date for submission of internal assessment examinations marks was 07/08/2020. I am directed to inform you that, with reference to the above-referred advisory of Board of Governors in Supersession of Medical Council of India, dated 04/08/2020, the concerned medical colleges and departments are hereby informed that the scheduled last date of submission of internal assessment marks to University has been deferred."
