NBE Extends Thesis Submission Deadline for DrNB Super Speciality Final Exam October 2025
New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has extended the last date of thesis submission for the DrNB Super Speciality Final Exam for October 2025. On this, NBEMS has issued an official notice to all the DrNB trainees and Accredited Institutions/Hospitals.
Thesis submission is essential for all DrNB trainees towards the partial fulfilment of eligibility for the Doctorate of National Board (DrNB). Therefore, as per the notice, NBEMS has now decided to extend the last date for submission of the Thesis till 15th September 2025, 11:55 PM. The candidates who are desirous to appear in the DrNB Super Speciality Final Theory Examination October 2025 session were earlier required to submit their Thesis on or before 31st August 2025, 11:55 PM.
The extension has been made as NBEMS has received requests both from trainees and Accredited Institutions to extend the last date for submission of the Thesis, as several trainees have not been able to complete their theses due to multiple reasons.
Hence, through the notice, all trainees and accredited institutions are informed that no further extension shall be given, and those trainees who do not submit their Thesis by 15th September 2025, 11:55 PM, shall be rendered ‘ineligible’ to appear in their DrNB Super Speciality Final Theory Examination October 2025 session.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that the NBEMS has released the tentative schedule of forthcoming NBEMS Examinations. On this, the DrNB (SS) Final Theory Exam October 2025 is scheduled to take place on 29th, 30th and 31st October 2025 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 09:00 am to 12:00 pm.
However, the schedule of forthcoming examinations is purely tentative. The exact dates of exams will be indicated in the Information Bulletin, which will be notified on the NBEMS official website in due course.
