NBE To Conduct Formative Assessment Test on 18th June, Check out Details
Delhi: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed the candidates about the Formative Assessment Test (FAT) of 2022.
The application portal will be made live from 15th May 2023. NBE will notify the details in due course of time. The form & fees for the conduct of FAT 2022 will have to be paid by Training Institutions. The Training Institutions will have to pay Rs 6000 per candidate only through NBEMS online portal for FAT-2022.
The exam will be conducted on 18th June 2023. The mode of examination will be descriptive (pen & paper) with 2 sessions. The centre for the exam would be FAT Centre nearest available to the Training Institution. The admit card will be issued to Training Institutions by 12th June 2023. Work Place Based Clinical Assessment will be conducted in August / September 2023.

1. DNB Broad Specialty 3 Years Courses - 2nd-year trainees (2021)
2. DrNB Super Specialty 3 Years Courses - 2nd-year trainees (2021)
3. Diploma Courses - 1st-year trainees (2022)
4. Direct 6 years Super Specialty Courses - 2nd & 4th year trainees (2021, 2019)
5. Fellowship Courses - 1st-year trainees (2022)
6. NBEMS Diploma Courses - 1st-year trainees (2022)
It is reiterated that regarding NBEMS Public Notice dated 26-11-2019 (View Notice), appearance in the minimum required numbers of Formative Assessment Test is mandatory towards eligibility for appearing in DNB/DrNB/ FNB Final Examinations.

The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 to improve the quality of Medical Education by setting high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an all-India basis utilizing existing infrastructure for capacity building. NBEMS currently conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialities leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), respectively.
